In London, the `Observer' publishes a praiseful review of `A Hard Day's Night' film, specially of Ringo's work.

 

While on his way to the concert in Brighton in his E-type Jaguar, George is involved in a car accident in New King's Road at Munster Road, London. Performance at the Hippodrome, Brighton, with Jimmy Nicol and the Fourmost.

The Beatles receive 3 1965 Ivor Novello prizes: `Yesterday' (most broadcast song), `We Can Work It Out' (most sold song) and `Help!' (2nd most sold song).

Ringo expresses his opinion about the banning of `The Ballad Of John And Yoko' decided by some US radios.

 

1971

George calls a meeting at Apple in Saville Row & informs members of Badfinger (whom he is producing) that he is returning to New York to organise the Concert for the people of Bangladesh.

George is interviewed by ITV's World O Sport as part of their coverge of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. He also takes part in a celebrity race but stalls his car at the start of the race, captured by TV cameras.

The day after his Live Aid "Let It Be" performance, Paul goes back into the studio to overdub a vocal (to compensate for his missing vocal for the first half of the track) to be used in future TV highlights or releases should it be required.

John & Yoko record an interview on BBC1's (Michael) Parkinson show: John "I never wanted them (The Beatles) to slide down and sort of make comebacks and things like that. I said, when I was 20 in the Beatles that 'I'm not going to be singing 'She Loves You' when I'm 30! Well I was 30 this year and I didn't force it to happen. It just happenned naturally. I guessed that by the time I was 30 I would have just grown out of it. And I have, you know..."

 

1974

The US Immigration and Naturalization Service Board denies John's appeal and orders him to leave the country within sixty days or face deportation.
