Posted June 19, 200718 yr CULTURE BOX AWARDS FEATURE Mojo Award winners unveiled 19 June 2007 - 00:01:00 Source: Music week Amy Winehouse, Alice Cooper, Bob Marley, Ozzy Osbourne and The Good, The Bad & The Queen, were among the artists honoured at the annual Mojo awards ceremony last night. Cooper was honoured as a Mojo Hero for his career achievements while Osbourne received the Mojo Icon award, honouring sales of more than 75m albums. Amy Winehouse was voted Mojo’s Woman Of 2006, with her track, Rehab, also named Song Of The Year. The winners, who were voted for by the magazine’s readers, received their gongs at The Brewery in London. Other winners at the event included Björk, who took the Mojo Inspiration Award for her diverse and distinctive music style, while Nick Cave presented Suicide with Mojo’s Innovation In Sound. Joy Division were recognised for their Outstanding Contribution To Music.
