Hope he flops on his arse. Can't stand the guy at all.

I think it'll be massive to begin with though and will be a dead cert for #1, but whether it'll be a good seller in the long run is another question.

Shall I post the Annie lyrics?

go on, I am a lyrics person..

not keen on 1973 lyrics..

and I have a hate for any song with a womans name in it, I just find them so corny.

trouble is he was so over hyped with Beautiful, that it will be a struggle to get up there again, especially after we(or is it just me) are all sick and tired of that song being overplayed, I have to turn it off if it starts these days.

Seems we have some kind of consensus going 'Wisemen' is the only song I remotely like.

Will be interesting to see how his second album pans out.

I'm definitely a lyrics person. Whether a song is upbeat or slow, I like to hear every word and to feel that the singer believes what he/she is singing and if they are the songwriter, that it's based on personal experience. I need to be moved emotionally by the song.

There doesn't seem to be any depth to the lyrics of 1973, but it'll depend on the way he sings it, so I'll hang fire until the first album tracks are made public.

I like quite a few songs on his album. My mum nicked the album from me soon after I bought it though and haevn't seen it since ! She likes it more than me. I'm pretty sure she'll like the new one too!
Those waiting for this album to flop... sorry, not going to happen. The "backlash" was generally only really from people who didn't buy Back to Bedlam in the first place, so it won't affect his sales that much... 3m again probably not, but as long as the singles are half-decent, radio will go gaga over him again and he'll get to 1.5-2m I'm sure...

Not really... they loved Is It Any Wonder but I don't think the other singles did that well on airplay did they?
UGH. Fine! But still, I can't see the housewives letting him flop.

Actually, I liked Wiseman the best from his debut as well.

So, he could have Westlife-like longevity then :(

Even their 4th single "A Bad Dream" spent 6 weeks in the airplay top 5. But their album sold nothing like their first. It'll sell a million, yes. But I wouldn;t be surprised if that's all it sold. The public are fickle and move on. The press hyped him up so people bought it, now they'll backlash so people won't. Also, when his first album was out he was about the only male singer/songwriter around because David Gray had been away so long. Since him we've had Nutini, Morisson and Johnson all become really big. People move on to the next big thing all the time...

Keane's second album was awful. And it performed badly as Mark said with Radio Airplay and Plenty of Promotion.

He will flop on his arse i have no doubt in my mind. Without 'Your Beautiful' i dont even think he would have been successful anyway.

I do actually think quite a lot of Back to Bedlam/You're Beautiful's success was down to right place, right time actually. BUT, I think general opinion amongst people who bought it was that they liked it quite a lot, which is a good sign a lot of them will be buying this one too. I don't know whether Keane's debut album was that well-received amongst the people who bought it... how much did their second album end up selling anyway, anyone know? I kind of lost track of its sales a few weeks after it came out...

I cant wait for it.

ya never know though, there may be another amazing song on there that does it for him again lol

Got a funny feeling this album will shed buckets 'Wiseman' was the best track on his debut album

Well this one doesn't like him much but I suppose he'll be bought by thousands who do and of course thousands of boyfriends/hubbies at xmas, here's Annie lyrics.

James Blunt - Annie Lyrics

Annie, you had your dream on the bright lights

I thought I saw your photograph

and its such a laugh, in a magazine

Did it all come true?

then Annie, you were made for the big time

They said you were a star to be

In the NME

But the walls came tumbling down down, they go down on me

Annie you're a star

You're just not going very far

And all the world will know your name

And you'll be famous as you are

'Cause I'll sing for you

Annie, would it be nice to be recognized?

Did you practise your autograph?

But then no one's asked

And it's such a shame

Your dreams are crumbling

Annie, why aren't you big in limelight?

'Cause I thought that you said you'd be

A celebrity several years ago

But it all came tumbling down down, they go down on me

Annie you're a star

You're just not going very far

And all the world will know your name

And you'll be famous as you are

'Cause I'll sing for you

Annie you're a star

You're just not going very far

And all the world will know your name

And you'll be famous as you are

'Cause I'll sing for you

Annie you're a star

You're just not going very far

And all the world will know your name

And you'll be famous as you are

'Cause I'll sing for you
