Our on topic is always a little meandering but we never stray too far from the topic of Darius.

I despair of getting any totally accurate article, no matter however brief. Is it just Darius they can't be bothered checking facts about or is it just common practice?

I think it's common practise. As long as they have some basics in fact and aren't just Darius bashing, I take that as usually the best we'll get.

Well it was the best we could get there - no-one reading the headline or article could miss the sight of Darius in his trilby? ..is that what it's called? The rest of the double page was just square after square of similar sketchy stuff about other musicals.

I think he'll stick in quite a few minds after his performances.

All joking apart, I think Darius definitely cemented his credibility as a MT performer by taking on the role of Sky and nailing it so effectively.

 

The reviews bear that out and I think one review made a very good point - the company as a whole was so talented that the principals, Shaun, Lynsey, Louise and Darius had to be exceptionally good to stand out. With considerably less experience than anybody, Darius was absolutely amazing.

 

Before he took on Sky, I think his runs as Billy Flynn were still being dismissed as "celebrity" casting because there had been no reviews, which I'm sure would have been mainly good. He didn't get a week to hone his performances in front of audiences and then a press night.

 

I just thought that he and Shaun fitted the parts so well - as did the girls.

would they take the bother, I had to laugh at the bbc and the queen peice .using a clip out of context to make up a story..whatever next!! if it hadnt been the Queen, they would have got away with it..what with that and the press using pictures unrelated to stories and from different times to make a story too, they are all at it, wouldnt know the truh if it bit them.

I dont mind if the errors are in Darius' favour mind you..

Remember that non-story when Darius had done his usual and worn the same outfit more than once? Some paper or other took the two pictures from different nights and alleged Darius had taken the lesser known girl to some event, taken her home and then returned to the same event with Jacqui.

Well, just think what they could do with pics of him in his jacket.

They'd have plenty to choose from and many in the same general area and with so many different females.
