Posted June 21, 200718 yr http://www.crimetime.co.uk/covers/large/0752844717large.jpg Watched Tell No One today (Ne le dis à personne), a French film adapted from a American source (in this case a novel ) however would you say culturally in the minds of high end cinema fans a French film adapted from a American source thought of as being better than a USA movie adapted from a French source??? or would they be equal??? fig 2&3 images from the film http://194.2.120.77/ImagesCinefil/AfficheGrandFormat/a37676.jpeg http://img5.allocine.fr/acmedia/medias/nmedia/18/36/27/48/18467840.jpg (note: btw its a good film if you liked Spiral or even things like Run Lola Run or Bourne 2)
June 22, 200718 yr It's a GREAT movie! Guillaume Canet is an amazing actor, and he did a great job making this movie! Congrats to him!
June 24, 200718 yr Frankly, yes... All you have to do is look at the abysmal Hollywood remakes of some French films.... "La Femme Nikita" became the utterly AWFUL "The Assassin", there are plenty of other equally bad examples.... "Tell No One" is frankly amazing film-making, and very respectful to its source, effortlessly translating Coben's book to France....
