This year "Star Academy" will run its 7th serie!

It's a mix between "Pop Idol"/"Fame Academy", and it has been the most popular show in France for 7 years and will hit TV again in September/October for 3/4 months as usual.

 

Every year one or two huge artists accept to be like the "godmother/godfather" of the show. Endemol officially announced that Céline Dion and Kylie Minogue will be this year godmothers!

Last years godmothers/godfathers of the show were Lionel Richie (2006), Mariah Carey (2005), Elton John (2003), ...

 

Basically, it means they will be on the show a few times, and they will support the contestants by messages, etc etc.

It's a great promotion, and it also includes support from the #1 channel (video plays, lots of adverts, ...) for the forthcoming releases.

 

So it means that new Kylie album should come before the end of the year, or it would be a bit pointless for her to do that.

Would be great and different if they did ^_^

ya i agree i like celine love kylie and would love to see them working together

I dont know that much of Celine really but i know her voice is great

she has done some great songs that i love myself

Im not keen on the idea of both sisters being associated with Reality talent shows

it gives them great publicity to the younger audience who buy music
