Placebo@Radar Festival 20.06. 2007@Zagreb, Croatia Report ((watch out, heavy content!)) This is a review of a Placebo concert played at Radar Festival at Zagreb in Croatia. Croatia is a south eastern Europe, has it's sea, water out of pipe and so on :D It's won't be all about the concert, i'll be crashing in trenches along the way. It all started 3 or 4 months ago when a date appeared on Placeboworld. I went berserk and spread the news where I could. Gossips were The Killers, Muse, bla-bla and the other team we're to appear but it was all a big fart and the «Aaaaaaah.» part was translated as QOTSA, Placebo, Kaiser Chiefs, Anavrin( reverse for Nirvana, these guys suprised me, later on…) and Overflow. Later another sidekick kicked in: Howling Bells. I was sure they should be with Placebo cause they we're on Placebo world later. Some people at Radar forum slapped me on the face when I asked them about Hoooowling Bells before the annouuuuncement…..I slapped them back, haha. I got the ticket long time before the D-Day, later I earned some more cash to pay the trip and stuff. This years 13th July was very generous one. I dunno how you call it in English, it's like birthday, but actually it's nameday, it includes Christian calendar and saints. Mine is Anthony of Padua. I'm Thony ^^. Or, if you like Tonći. I got myself a pair of shoues for summer time and a mobile phone SE K750. I wasn't warned that it records video in MMS format so only after the concert i got to figure it out and set it to HQ video. Now i'm left with 30 second clips of last 20 or so minutes of the concert with the awful sound. I was in a first row, on the right side next to the speakers. «Bravo me!» ^^ – peasants yelled. I searched across the forums for people from my town who love Placebo. Here we feel alone cause you can't find many people who like Placebo, everyone gives me the looks. When so many people gather at Placebos concerts all over the world, it's a miracle to me, to them also i guess. I met this nice looking girl ( I hope she wasn't excepting a bigger compliment, (oh God save me)). In the end we wen't seperate ways to Zagreb and back to Split. Me with a 50% disscount. ^^ Nothing worth mentioning about the trip with the train, except a nice looking redhed, greeneyes, shortarmy pants, nicelyfitted ass, a WC where you had to invent a special way pee-pee beacuse the train was one that rolls left-right depending on the curve of the railtrack. And the fact that 10 minutes before arriving to Zagreb i get a yellow flashbulb over my head, remembering that i left my ticket for the concert at Split, all because my dad attacked me HOW THERE WASN'T AN ORGANIZED TRIP to Zagreb and back to Split. Since I came the day before the concert I managed to get the card via bus line the next time right on time, but not without the «threats» Mom saying i deserved, i should go back. The familiy I was going to sleep in was really nice. Met them for the first time. We're not relatives by blood, but will be in a way. I'm an Uncle Thony ^^ They had to kick out their 6 year old child to get me a bad. How sad….generous of them. Got to watch Fireman Sam from 2003. on DSF. Geeez, when I watched that I was 10 year old and it was from, what? 80's, 90's? They feel more atrificial today. I don't like this one form 2003. ;( I make that up with load of anime :D The attack of the fans – I came there and 1h and half before the gate was to be open. It was rather strange. The Entrance for us was behind the stage, and the gate for Backstage was where we should have go J. I inflitrated the first line and stayed there for 4-5 hours before Placebo enter the stage. Now onto the bands. Anavrin was cool. I liked their music. Their frontman look like a cross between white version of Fernando Sucre and Fred Durst from Limp Bizkit. Overflow, I dunno. They okay but not for me, i liked a few song but couldn't understand what he was saying because of the sound. Their frontman looked like a cross between Davor Gobac from Psihomodo Pop and that guy frontman from Pips Chips Video Clip. Howling Bells, nice but I didn't get prepared for them so I wasn't keeping up with the songs. Kaiser were great, but also I only attached to a few of the songs. Placebo :D My first time seeing them live. They did two concerts before but i didn't know. Our first encounter was when I was watching Cruel Intentions. You know what I mean. But, I wasn't aware of that. Years later, their Bitter End single was released, I liked it very, but again! I didn't pick up the phone. Months after i went to my village, there was my cousin from Montenegro too. He had a CD player with Placebo and Black Market Music( i was gonna write BM Blood, honestly J). Then it hit me. I like them like them like them like them like them!!! Back then i only had 56k connection to the Net, so a slowly started to download the pieces of album Placebo, song coming from different sources. Imagine this! For 2 years or so I was listening, this is from today view point, I Know as it said it Winamp and out of the speaker Slackerbitch was yelling. Only a year after or so I found the real I Know. What a joy was it to hear it then. Ok so back to Placebo show. Great, superb, awesome, they we're short on time but i must understand them felling into a trap of a festival. Still I liked them very. A funny story happend during the Drag song, or should I call it «Drag My t*ts» ^^. A girl showed her t*ts during Drag and Brian went crazy singing: Video of it. ( Sorry, now t*ts with pics, just sound) Very lucky this video is with us. You're always ahead of the rest When I'm always on time You have such a marvelous breasts... I was thinking of stalking them early in the morning but ended up with passing by it and waving at imaginary Brian in the reflecting window. I only regret that there isn't n audio recored of the show. We'll at least the Coachella setlist and audio will cure me. :) I compiled a very special video for you. It's a step up considering my GIF animations I released on sweetprince.com and other forums. You be suprised. I hope you get amazed. It should feel like you there but not there J The end is very educational ^^. Also here are some pics that did not enter the video, as an intro to the video. I could catch Stefan during Kaisers cause he was working hard behind, carrying some equipment, i hope it wasn't to finish their gig asap. I'm glad i had the chance to picture Steve cause you never get to see him right behind the drums. Finally…I wrote on a certain profile: «Romeo seeks his Poison». June 29, 200718 yr Author i need a little feedback when i watch the video on my slow computerm when the last Trigun clip start when the cat plays the wolf on the moonlight, the sound doesn't match the lips of the character. Is this okay on you're "normal" PC, or do you see what i see i dunno if this could be done in flash player but when i watch it at home, the divix file, i click on the timeline before the cat on to refresh the sound and video. i wonder if you are interested for the divx file, shold i pu it on sendspce for you?
