Posted June 28, 200718 yr from drowned in sound Given that no-one ever believed that Weezer would actually be halting work forever (despite word to the contrary), it comes as no great surprise that mainman and benign ruler Rivers Cuomo has revealed work on album no.6 is underway. Said Rivers on his website: “Weezer is just polishing up a batch of songs for a recording session that is going to start at the beginning of July. This will be the final recording session for our 6th album which we aim to put out in the first half of 2008. We hope you are all having good times.” Rumours in our head claim that it will be a hell of a lot better than the last album, and hopefully better than the one previous too. In fact, DiS was so uninspired by their last two album releases, we managed to neglect to review them at all. Telling. Words: Gareth Dobson while teletext adds: Weezer back in the studio Weezer have confirmed they are back in the studio working on their sixth album. On his website mainman Rivers Cuomo said: "Weezer is just polishing up a batch of songs for a recording session that is going to start at the beginning of July. "This will be the final recording session for our sixth album which we aim to have out in spring 2008."
