overrated? brilliant?

 

this fight scene between The Bridge and Gogo is really good. Gogo's cute, but mad as hell:

 

Two of my favourite films. Love them both. Vol. 2 is my favourite - every scene is just brilliant.

I thought both movies were brilliant.

Quentin's fifth film is brilliant. Loved both versions but I'd take the second over the first. Can't wait for Inglorious bast*rds :cheer:

tbh, I thought it was pointless, shallow rubbish.... Part one has its 'impressive' sword play sequences, but if you've seen any amount of HK Martial Arts films, well, the sequences really aren't that great..... Part two seemed like a Karaoke version of a Tarantino film, the pop culture references and self-reflexivity where once so fresh in his other films, just seemed incredibly strained and rather flat.. The "Superman" speech in particular was just so unbelievably false and seemed just thrown in because Quentin thought it might be "cool".... No, "Kill Bill" is a huge folly IMO, almost four hours of film where about two or less would've been more than adequate given the relative shallowness of the plot and script.....

Good but nowhere near the level of Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction etc as far as Tarantino's work goes

 

7.5/10 for Kill Bill

6/10 for Kill Bill 2

in the original script, they had gogo yubari have a sister named Yuki, and she would get revenge for the death of Gogo after The Bride visits vernita green but they had to delete that part 'cos of timing issues. Yuki was gonna be stalking The Bride in the ice cream truck that you hear outside vernita's house apparently.

I thought they were both amazing movies.
