Posted June 28, 200718 yr I hope, as all of you know the man is a damn genius. His works are undeniably not for the soft-hearted. Pi was a great, creative, odd debut by Darren that would forshadow his later works. Requiem for a Dream, his follow up adaptation of a novel, is easily ONE OF THE BEST movies ever. The characters, plot, dialoge, is definitely not for the soft! It's a very graphic tale of drug's effect on peeps :wacko: . Now his next movie was all his own just like Pi. It was a doozie-The Fountain. It was by far his weirdest movie, a movie that I need to watch to understand. One of the most difficult movies to understand, I think. Now I just wanted to share this mini bio and see if anyone else appreciates his work.
