I like Millennium as well Laura , do you think he will do Me & My Monkey

Me and My Monkey was a real highlight last time. He brought that song alive with his story telling.

I don't think he'll do it this time but it would be nice if he could give that treatment to another of his album tracks. Kind of show case it in the middle of the gig.

For me it would have to be 80s/90s off Rudebox. That could be a really special segment. B-) Full of emotion too.

Ive seen a lot of people making comparisons between Harry and RW. It's inevitable I guess. Harry was got U.S. On board that Robbie never had. It remains to be seen how Harry does in the future. He's seems a nice lad. Robbie took over from George Michael, Olly kind of took over from Robbie and now Harry is here. It's as it should be in moving along with the youngsters. But if Harry is doing stadium gigs in 2044 as a solo artist then we know he's done well. :P

I don't think that Olly really took over from Robbie, Laura, sure not in Europe and I do not think even in the UK. He is famous but not in the way Rob had been between 2001 and 2006. The 1 D's doing well solo. I also doubt that they are doing as well as Rob still does solo in 20 years aside of a 1 D reunion.

If there is someone whose fame iscomparable with Rob's at his height it is Ed Sheeran (however he has the US too). He could still be there in 20 years. Sometimes I wonder how the career of Robbie would have been like when there would have been the internet YT and Instagram already.

Maybe even huger? Or maybe it would not had happened at all because he is not really in using it.

It's hard to say Elisabeth.

I think the fact that RW always has something interesting to say or a story to tell in today's beige, PC world, has kept his profile high regardless of social media. How many interviewers or chat show hosts have said they always love having him on. He's good value.

& Robbie continues to do his own thing as he always did :P

The moment @RobbieWilliams had the crowd singing along to Strong. Very powerful. #OneLoveManchester

Nice to see Robbie take part in the Manchester concert tonight....and 2 nice songs he did, as well.....I can only guess that Angels was for those who were injured/lost their lives, but, I've been known to guess wrongly before....

Am curious, did he perform any other songs besides Strong and Angels? I ask because I haven't seen any of this either when it was streamed live or in highlights...

I did not see it live, reading online he changed the lyrics of Strong for last nights concert

Edited by Sydney11

He only did two. Strong with the amended lyrics and Angels. :)

After watching the posted Angels video from the benefit concert, looks like he had a tough time getting through the song, but, the crowd were happy to fill in the blanks where he was too choked up to sing...touching, imo...

I heard this on the radio yesterday morning whilst on the bus to work , you know it is one great song , one of his finest

I have not watched this in a while, looking back on it the video is very funny :P

Lyric video to Eyes on the Highway. It's very good. Made by a fan apparently. B-)

I still can't get to the bottom of whether Robbie wrote this song. Diario Italiano said it was a Tim Metcalfe/Piers Baron co -write but I can't seem to find any reference to it. The lyrics certainly sound very Robbiefied so I'm a bit confused.

Whoever did write it - it's a beautiful song. I like it a lot.
