Will in Hastings

I've been doing some asking around tonight locally and apparently Will was in town because he has been 'working with' Blair again! (I assume this means they've been writing together.)

 

The event Will sang at was part of Hastings week and the start of one of the Old Town pubs' Weekend Beer Festival. The music was advertised (only on the pub's website and in the pub as far as I'm aware) as Blair Mackichan and Friends. This isn't unusual as Blair plays around Hastings a lot and often with 'friends', he seems to have many in the local music network and seems to chop and change who he plays with regularly!!

 

I've always thought this would happen one day and that Will would sing with Blair in Hastings but I also hoped that I might get a hint in advance and be able to witness it - I know a few people who know Blair personally but this was so impromptu (Will declined to sing when asked beforehand apparently) that no-one knew, not even them.

My friend's sister was there (she's quite a fan of Will) and didn't even realise he was there till he started singing. He apparently seemed quite embarrassed when the crowd went wild and started taking pics etc. (Bless him!)

 

On Monday I will be seeing the landlord of that pub at a meeting as he is a governor at the school where I work but he doesn't know about "me and Will" as I like to put it so I can't blame him for not letting me know.

I may be asking him a few gentle questions though and might even 'come out' to him so he could let me know if it was ever likely to re-occur!!! .

 

(There seems to be some confusion over what he sang as I've been told it was "Stuck in the Middle With You" - maybe he did 2 songs?)

Just wish I'd heard for myself...... Oh well.......... So near and yet so far......

Well whatever it was that Will sang, the crowd seem to love it. :thumbup:

Then out of nowhere, Will Young climbed onto the stage and got the crowd into a frenzy.
