Little snippet in The Telegraph, thanks to Trish. :D

In the review for the opening night of "Grease".

"The premise of all televsion talent shows is that the streets of Britain are glistening with hidden stars - they just need to be discovered. In terms of pop, this heart-warming belief has already been revealed as a fallacy. For every Will Young who builds a sustained career, there is a Michelle McManus who has one hit and then fades into the shadows".

Thanks suggy.

Just love it when Will is singled out as the success story. :D

Little pic of Will saying, "Staying Power."

Thanks for finding the article BYM&M's. Cowell still hasn't realised Will is the exception not the rule. :D
Thanks BYM&Ms. The picture in the Daily Star is from the AOL gig.

I think he realises it TT, he just won't admit it - and of course he doesn't want his milch-cow that is called XFactor to dry up does he?

Thanks to Julie on the OS.

Man Eve News nice Will bit in Zoe Birkett piece

That first Pop Idol was the blueprint for a worldwide telly revolution. It yielded a bona fide star in the shape of Will Young, an on-off star in Gareth Gates, and Darius Danesh, who, despite at first seeming terminally pleased with himself, has had record success and now a career in musical theatre. Behind these three came Zoe.

:D

Thanks to Mary for this lovely little snippet in the Telegraph.

It's entitled My Favourite Thing and has a picture of Connie Fisher.

"With theatre talent searches now now two a penny, the winner of last year's How To Solve a Problem Like Maria, Connie Fisher, is keen to defend the genre. "These programmes are good because they raise the standard" she tells me at a party for Lipsy clothing. "By making these parts acessible to more people it is more democratic and the end product is likely to be better. I don't think there's a stigma attached. I'd love to be considered the Will Young of theatre.""

And under the picture is says Connie Fisher; Will Young of Theatre.

Once again Will is used as the benchmark.

I was just coming on here to post that after I'd put it on the O/S (Soul Bar). You beat me to it!
