Will Young is taking part in the forthcoming Little Noise Sessions, a series of intimate, acoustic gigs for the learning disability charity, Mencap.

Will is performing on Thursday 22nd November with special guests at Islington's Union Chapel, which is acclaimed for its ambience and acoustics. It will be an intimate gig as the venue only holds 600.

Other artists featured in the Little Noise Sessions, which run from 21st to 28th November include Athlete, The Hoosiers, We Are Scientists, Young Knives, The Pigeon Detectives, Snow Patrol, The Enemy and Keane. Jo Whiley will be hosting the events.

If you'd like to go, you must register for tickets online at: www.mencapmusic.org.uk.

Ticket registration opens at 12.00 midday, Tuesday 2nd October and closes at 12.00 midday Friday 19th October. Those who have registered can then buy tickets online on a first-come-first-served basis from 9.00am Monday 22nd October

It's also on the Home Page of O/S too.

Something else to look forward to and shorten the winter nights.

Jeanrus and I were dodging the raindrops today in the Portobello Road and ended up in the same shop as Will and Conor!!!!

We were only buying cards but Will bought dinner plates, gravy boat (all on special offer) plus wrapping paper!!

He was looking very smart and remarkably dry in contrast to our general sogginess!!

Dark camel 3/4 length coat, dark trousers, those black and white shoes and a dark brown trilby!! Looked as if he'd walked straight off a fashion shoot!!!

Suprised at how young Conor looked, but nicer than his photos ever show!!

A lovely few moments on a rainy day!!

Dressed like that I bet he stood out from the crowd.

God! I nearly missed this over the page, thanks TT and how lucky were they? Will seems to be living in those shoes  and great to know that Conor was with him as well.

Not much just a tiny snippet from our friend Neil Sean: Thanks to Bumbling on D:

Will Young spurned the chance to pop up in the hit ITV1 show dancing on ice according to my spies. He told a source "I have done my stint on reality TV thanks, its not for me" Gareth Gates has now been approached

As if. Neil does live in Cloud Cuckooland.

Actually there is quite a possibility that he was asked as the producers of reality shows seem to ask loads of people. Most of whom turn them down. Then they finish up with the C and D-listers.

God forbid! :o do you think the producers were actually working on a Will v Gareth scenario again, after Gareth had obviously (no brainer) said yes?

No, I think they asked Will who turned them down (and probably loads of other similar programmes) and then scratched around to find someone remotely interesting to have instead.
Well I still think this is a Neil Sean fabrication. It's well known that those who appear on these shows are trying to bolster up a flagging career ( probably put forward by their management) which is hardly Will.

Thanks to everyone for bringing all the info over...it so much more easier to get the latest info at a glance...when i have more time i will read the threads on D :cheer:

Alan Titchmarsh said he has been asked to go on SCD three times but cannot spare the time!

Date for sale confirmed as 22nd on the Mencap site plus this little lovely quote

Will Young, also a Mencap ambassador who is performing at gigs explains: "I have always wanted to perform at the Union Chapel as it's such a unique venue, although it's slightly nerve-racking playing an acoustic gig! It's great that the money raised will go to such a good cause

Thanks to Bumbling.

Couple of snippets thanks to Ruthie on D:

New Mag 2/10 Amy wants to Duet with Will

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mawnin!!

Piccy of Will from Diana gig and it reads as follows:-

Amy to Duet with Will.

She has sung with Charlotte Church and worked with Mark Ronson and I can reveal that troubled diva Amy Winehouse has someone new in her sights - Pop Idol winner Will Young 28.

Amy 24, told me at a showbiz bash last week that she found herself listening to his album and was "blown away". She added, "Its well produced but he has the sweetest voice and is a good singer. He can get around a vocal"!

So would she like to duet with Mr Young? "Oh yeah, I would actually and I think he could help clean up my image!" she cackled, adding that she was serious. "We would have to do something original though".

Well, where theres a Will.........

There is also a $h!tty bit in Star Mag from Music Control Party, I will add in here, but it doesnt deserve a thread of its own and Im not even going to get annoyed about it

The boys outdid the girls in the diva stakes at top radio show Music Control's bash at funky celeb hang out the embassy. While Sophie Ellis Bexter and Big Brother 8 twins Sam and Amanda were down to earth, the likes of Will Young and Ryan Seacrest played the star card.

Moody Will soon rubbed the organisers up the wrong way. "He's a real arrogant $h!t", an incensed PR gal told Party Crasher. "I went up to speak to him, tapped him on the shoulder and he turned around and said:"Did you just push me?" I was stunned". And American Idol host Ryan Seacrest spent most of the night locked away in his own vip area, get him!

Isn't it wonderful the change in opinion when people actually listen to his music rather than making pre-judgement on something they know nothing about. I think her comment about a duet is tongue-in-cheek though.

The second bit - well - haven't we been there before. If she was a PR then she should have known better. She probably prodded him in the back rather than the tap on the shoulder she claims, if he asked if she pushed him.
