Just watched the video - wow how lucky were they! I had butterflies just watching it, can't imagine how they all felt. Will's looking sooooooooooooo fit.

Can't imagine how they must have felt when he walked through the door. :w00t: Really hope Will enjoyed it enough to want to repeat the experience.

I was all excited then  I was dead wrong about you .... bring back Suggy :P

Oh rats.......didnt go out this lunchtime cos of this lousy weather and theres nothing to read......still look on the bright side......perhaps its the same for him so maybe he feels he might as well pop down to the recording studio........
I see Julies had an email about the mencap thingy...we are all to receive an email with a password on it once we register on the mencap site........I suspect many of us won't get it.

Does this mean we will all get individual passwords?

Anyone guess I reckon Gill <_< Thats IF we get the email...... I have a horrible feeling this will be a shambles again.....are they really going to set all the ticket sales for all the different artists 'live' at the same time.......if they do I suspect the site will crash....you would think someone somewhere could come up with a simple yet fair system that works in this day and age....

I wonder if it's always this stressful getting tickets for other artists. I'm trying not to think about it or my nerves will be shot to bits before the 22nd.

A ballot is the best way for something like this, like they did for the Jubilee concert. People registered with the organisers and then it was a random draw.

However, it wouldn't work at a concert by one person.

I'd be happy with a ballot Pearl. :)

Someone else sees what we do.

From the OS.

saw Will Young last night at an Amy Studt gig in Shepherds Bush - he's a fine figure of a man. I didn't realise she was back though - does anyone have any info about the new album? (which she played most of. sounds goooooooooooood.)

lemme know guys xx

Will be interested to hear what Amy has come up. Quite liked her earlier music.

Thanks TT. Just this minute seen this posted in the Amy Studt thread in the Pop Forum:

Yeah i was at the show last night too - did you see Will Young floating about?!

:D

I still don't believe it, there's two of them posting in tandem on different music sites.

Thanks to Paula on Devoted.

Will in Hastings last night

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I received a text from my son in law to tell me that Will was in Hastings last night and did an impromptu song on the back of a lorry!! lol!!

Apprently there was a street fair going on in Hastings last night and Ben's (my son in law) work coleagues had a stall - hence their close encounter with Will.

I am still trying to find out what he sang.

 You just never know where he'll turn up next.

Thanks TT - you just beat me to it

This evening I experienced another Hastings gem - the annual Street Party. This is held as part of Hastings Week to commemorate the date every school kid in Britain knows - 1066 when William and Harold squared up Big Time.

A band called Blair and Friends were whipping the crowd up with a selection of ska/salsa/jazz numbers. The front man was oozing charisma - an idiosyncratic mixture of Mick Jagger, Jarvis Cocker and a self-deprecating Latin persona . Then out of nowhere, Will Young climbed onto the stage and got the crowd into a frenzy. Next a local chap with a Ukulele gave a rousing performance of Manu Chao’s ‘Bongo Bong’. This was amazing…

Since I moved to Hastings in the summer I have been totally won over by the charm and uniqueness of this (to quote from Blair Mackichan of the band seen tonight) “fishing town with a drink problem”. Hastings I salute you!

Update from Paula.

Update from Ben that he was wearing pink and sang Da Da Da Da, Do Do Do Do by The Police, and even Ben, who is a 'serious musicain' wishes he was there because it was a lot of fun apparently!! Now that is progress by the family

So he was with Blair - makes sense.
