Thanks to Ruthie for today's mag snippets.

Heat Mag ~ Spotted page 62

"Will Young waving his arms around and looking very excited at Glastonbury as he and his friends headed off to see Shirley Bassey"

Star Mag ~ P Diddy's party page 24

"Elsewhere songstress Natasha Bedingfield was acting all loved up with her new fella, Jonah and chatting to Cat Deeley and Will Young about life in the States."

Then on the opposite page there is the piccy of Will talking to Heidi at the table.

Celebs Exposed section page 45

"Will Young , the singer won't be smiling when he realises hes on show!"

And the piccy of him smiling with his flies undone

Seems they ain't up on fashion trends.

and thanks to Pauliine.

Hello mag

There is a little watered down write up about what Will said to Feane and this follows a piece about Tom Jones, which goes as follows:-

'The younger audience members were catered for with a set from Pop Idol Will Young, who told Fearne "I'm having a great day" Its manic back stage.

Diana had a huge connection with people. This concert represents that. She was a very stylish woman. I am honoured to be here.

Pity there was no pic. :(

Thanks for those snippets TT, if there's no pic or a decent interview I never buy these mags anymore, I used to buy everything that Will was mentioned in about 6 months after PI, as it was all about someone else then and there was hardly anything about Will. Now he gets papped and mentioned all the time, even when he's not promoting.

Thanks for the snippets TT. You sound a bit like me Suggy - that's what I used to do. It all cost a fortune. I still buy papers/mags, but only if there's a pic or interview.

Off out now - think I'll go for a walk on the beach with Will - hope the tide's out or on the turn, otherwise it'll be Will and the sand dunes!! :naughty:

I think I'll be doing a lot of walking in the next few months chrysalis, got to keep the old bones strong and supple for our next Will "adventure", you never know if fields are going to be on his agenda for concerts next year. I like to plan for my itinerary well in advance.

Thanks for all the snippets TT. I tend to 'read' them in the shop. Heat is really an awful magazine.

Well it's been known to happen, so it's best to get in some practice. Last time I fell down, and whilst I was one of the first in the queue I landed up in the 5th row!

It was a bit fresh on my walk, but lovely.

My friend went to a party the other day and Mr Will Young was indeed there. Here are the details...

GOD'S GOLDEN ACRE YOUNG ZULU WARRIORS COME TO THE UK

Britain sees the welcome return of The God'S Golden Acre Young Zulu Warriors next month with a UK Tour schedule that takes them from London to the Shetland Isles.

They leave London Calling to perform that night at South Africa House, in Central London, to an invited audience including the King of The Zulus, hosted by GGA's founder Heather Reynolds and Jude Law.

I know my friend has travelled to South Africa and does work for God's Golden Acre so this is obviously why she went to the party. Think attendance was by invitation/guest list only and other celebrities included Cat Deeley+Timbaland.

Googled and found this:

Quote:

The Young Zulu Warriors are all young people who have been raised and cared for by a rural charity in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa, called God's Golden Acre (GGA). GGA cares for orphaned children and young people who have been abandoned as a result of HIV/AIDS and violence. ‘Thula Sizwe’ was written by the founder of GGA, Heather Reynolds and has been performed internationally to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS and to raise much needed funding for GGA's ongoing work to give children a safe and loving home and a chance for a better future. All profits go to the charity.

Details of the Young Zulu Warrior tour of 'Thula Sizwe' have now been finalised and full details can be seen here:

I can see why Will went.

Must have been the 'PULSATING' African Concert that was the draw. ;) No seriously I'm sure it's a charity Will will have been keen to show his support for.

You just never know where he'll turn up next.

Thanks for bringing this over munchkin. :D

It's not a very good pic I'm afraid, as the sun was behind them. My videos of it are better, but I can't get them on my computer. There's this village/museum on the outskirts of Durban, where the Zulus do the dances for the tourists.

Didn't realise it was one of your own pics chrysalis. Thought you'd found it on the net. :)

Your as much of a globetrotter as Will.

I was just about to say the same :P

Yes it is mine, and yes I've done a lot of travelling. I've been to SA about 4 times  This pic was taken on my last trip when I stayed with a Will fan, whom I'd met on a previous trip. I was hoping to go again last November to see the concerts, and tie it in with my trip to OZ, but as that trip was in March this year I couldn't do it.

It's great when you hear from someone who was there -

Was browsing the internet and came across this from Idols West Africa

FROM your perspective, how would you describe Idols West Africa in terms of the actual show and production?

The experience has been the most valuable thing for me because, it was a learning experience and it was the first one we did, so I got a lot of knowledge from doing this show.

The production itself, I would say was ace, excellent, especially when you watch American Idol, you know it’s very glamorous if you compare that with our own, the production was still good and the budget was not even nearly the same. I think American Idol had a budget of about 37 million dollars, so when I looked at the two, I said ok, I think we are doing quite well. But I would like to say, the most impressive part of the production has been the talent that we’ve managed to find and I know that there are so many more that are out there. Maybe, by the grace of God, if we do another Idol show, we will probably find ones that are better than the ones we found this year. When you compare these singers to any other in the world, they can stand anywhere. Thank God, we emerged with who I feel is a world class singer; Timi is our Idol and I believe he can stand near Will Young, or any of the previous Idol winners from any part of the world.

Lovely that it is Will that is singled out & named as the winner to aspire to. :cheer:

Have you noticed how Will is beginning to be mentioned in other parts of the world despite very little promotion......softly softly catchee monkey.......
