Sweet singing superstar Will Young was literally rocked by events which unfolded during filming of BBC's Saving Planet Earth series. The crooner was making friends with a female gorilla when some male gorillas at the orphanage in Cameroon felt he was becoming a tad too friendly with the female.

 

Clearly not realising the singer is openly gay, and attracted to humans, the angry males then threw rocks at the singer! He told the Sun newspaper "One of the gorillas kept making this noise that meant she fancied me. It didn't go down too well with the males. One gave me this look out of the corner of his eye and flung a huge rock against the fence right in front of my face."

Don't think we've had that version of the story.

 

Will's comments are always picked up on. He really knows how to keep the media interested.

I can understand Will's feelings about wanting a ciggie when he can't have one. I remember when I smoked (in the distant past) if I knew I couldn't smoke somewhere, I'd smoke twice as many when I could. :lol:

Shirl has posted on Devoted that it is the Serpentine Garden Party this evening. Will was htere last year & it was his first public engagement with Conor.

Gawd I just browsing myspace and musicians associated to Will have indicated that they are supporting him on 8 Sept at this event. Its not mentioned on the BBC website.

There was something so special about Will that day. After all the snidey forecasts of him not lasting more than 6 months, I watched him sing Summertime and BOTROAD and knew just how wrong they were, His star shone with that performance and has continued to do so ever since. :wub: :cheer:

I agree Marguerite. If ever there was a performance to show that Will had an aura about him it was that day. :wub:

 

Does anyone else get the feeling that there is more to look forward to around September or am I misreading the Devoted whisperings?

Thanks TT, I hope he is performing in september as there'll be nothing till the album comes out otherwise and didn't Will say, if he had a special song turn up he'd release before christmas? I hope he's bloody got one because I'm getting desperate to hear some new tracks.
