Thanks TT I'll pop over in a minute- I do like to know what's going on.

The locked thread in Will Chat. The title 'early days' should be a clue. ;)

Oh gawd - not again

Thanks T I'll have look see what I missed

Editing - Loved your post Tillywhim and suzzi's too - that's exactly how I feel. Usual suspect wading in - and no other usual suspect to come to her assistance either :P

I read all of that thread Lainey and it wasn't anything you nor anyone else had posted, I noticed there wasn't any arguing going on whatsover and the thread was running along really amicably, yet someone reacted as if it wasn't and it seems to be a regular occurrence with the odd few same people.

The OP asked for it to be closed though, so there really wasn't any alternative.

Seemed a perfectly good thread - with proper discussion - until one person jumped in. As always, it seems the minority make it difficult for the majority. Sorry the OP felt she had to ask for the thread to be closed, as I'm sure she posted in all good faith.

Your right. It's a shame though as everyone was being very tolerant & understanding of her views despite the fact this isn't the first time she's started these kind of threads so perhaps was being a little naive. These threads are like a magnet for the'disappointed.' :( I wish Devoted had a system where you could select to ignore certain posters as you can on some sites as I've a feeling my patience will be sorely tested with the release of album 4.

I agree. She obviously just wanted a wallow in nostalgia and unfortunately for her, most fans on Devoted who still post regularly love Will now which is why we are still here.

I suppose we all become nostalgic for the times we used to see Will sing live so often as was the case in the early days.

For all of us, it's been 9 months, with just the Diana concert to break the drought, since we've heard him and far less live gigs for the KO promotion then there was for FC anyway . I'm hoping and praying that he'll go the route of some of the newer acts, and do a lot of live smaller gigs when the new album arrives

Just as long as we can get tickets.

Just went to read the thread...what was all the fuss about i only saw one person who posted in a hostile way..why weren't they just warned so the thread could stay on course...apart from that poster it was an enjoyable read :D

Aww thanks Munchkin, I did try to word it carefully as I know what it feels like to have the majority disagree with you - I get that if I'm on a downer re his acting......but the comment at the end disheartened me a bit....'hostile posts!' There were no hostile posts.....just one person who decided to take offence at absolutely nothing, thats what floored me....I like a discussion myself and I thought it was a shame it was locked, but then, I suppose the mods had no choice as they were requested by the OP.

Why is it folks can't let him go when their love has run its course......I wouldnt stick around if I felt like that......I would just walk quietly away.

Sadly I think we all know the answer to that one. :( I would like to think the 'hostile posts' were referring to just the one poster but somehow I don't think so.

No doubt Edward is planning his Pop Idol speeches in readiness for the 4th album release.

I'll be ready with my spider!! He really does spout a load of claptrap.

In a way I'm not sorry it was locked, it would have ended up with hurt feelings anyway once that first post appeared and I agree it's such a shame. The vast majority are more than capable of a reasonable discussion even if they do disagree. Oh well, just as I was starting to post a bit more as well - that'll teach me :D

I cant believe how upset i am over my cat :( the vet as just rang with the results of his blood tests, his kidneys are in a bad way...he is having an op tomorrow but because of the test results they will have to take extra precautions [ even then they are not sure he will survive the aneastetic] he will also have to go to the veterinary specialist hospital to have it .... the op is a simple one so i thought he was going to be ok, he is eating now and as been really lively and seemed to be better .... me and hubby got him a few months after we met.. he's 16 years old in sept [the month we got married] sorry i am rambling

Edit: Hubby just rang he said he had given me the wrong info [ he's upset as well] they said they will not do the op, he will have to stay at the vet for a few days ...he will be put on a drip and then another blood test done, if his kidney improve they will do the op if not we will have to put him to sleep

You're not rambling BYm+m's. I can quite understand how upset you are. Just wish there was something I could do. :friends:

Still having connection problems. :arrr: Husband has just been on the phone to what he thinks was New Delhi. I thought he was going to blow a gasket! :o That's the third time he's called & each time we've had a different answer. :arrr: It's a good job my daughter has an orange mobile so it isn't costing us anything. I'm beginning to thing we'll never get it put right! :arrr:
