So pleased the operation went OK Suggy. :) I expect you'll all be glad when he's home.

 

I was recalled to-day to the docman after a chest x-ray, and apparently there have been some changes - got to have another x-ray in 6 weeks. In the meantime got to go to the ENT specialist, which I didn't expect. :o No good worrying about it though.

As you say things are not going too well for some of us. My son is probably going to be diagnosed with something called interstitial cystitis which usually affects women (abut 96%). It is a condition similar to IBS only in the bladder. He has had a biopsy and a CT scan and is now waiting to find out the results. It means he mustn't have acid forming foods and drinks, so no coffee, tea, fruit juices, beer, wine, tomatoes, fruit, some vegetables, nuts, bread with preservatives etc etc.

 

He has, however, found a medicine on the Internet which he can buy from the US which will help absorb the acid. There are lots of recommendations for it but it isn't sold in the UK. He gets these bouts of pain which really pull him down.

 

Sorry to be dreary - we are worried but glad it isn't something worse.

Sorry to hear about your son's medical problem Pearl. Hope he is able to get hold of some medicine to ease his condition.

My moan, I'm off camping on Friday - now I know that's not a real moan in the great scheme of things but god I loathe camping - trouble is hubby loves it so I've had to compromise on a long weekend!
