Is this the pic from the video clip with One Giant Leap? Wonder if we'll ever hear any more about that.

Yes is it TT. We never got to hear more about that did we? In fact it was never published that he'd even gigged with them. Think it may have been the "detectives" who found out. Mind you it didn't surprise me after his appearance with them on Live8.

Will seems to do a lot of these collaborations that we never get to hear about, or only "hear through the grapevine". I'm sure if he gets the opportunity, he probably does them for his own private enjoyment and satisfaction, rather than for a wider audience. We know he worked with Groove Armada too, but I for one, never heard anything more about it.

I think we will hear more about this. I visit their website occasionally and the album and DVD are still in post production.

Welcome to 1 Giant Leap

This is from a post on the 7th April:

Ok, first off...I have seen 7 chapters only, so I can't say what is coming after that. In the first 7 chapters, the editing style and beauty of the filming and music and interviews are very much like what you are familiar with. However, this film is also very much different than 1GL. There is a grittier edge to its content. It makes you think about things that are not so warm and fuzzy as the first film. My first reaction was "hmmm..." (Well, after seeing how freaked out I looked in my interview!) After multiple viewings, I am saying "yes, absolutely..."

Many of the interviews deal with personal struggles in the lives of individuals, tied in with music that emphasizes a theme. Some of the struggles are larger issues of society. I have seen the topics Grace, Shadow, Love, Sex, Desire, Pain and Bombardment. It really does leave me thinking, "So, what about me?" "Where do I fit into this?" After having seen the film's first 7 chapters, I can see where the title would come from. I can understand, though, Paul, your concern about a title that doesn't jump up and grab you by the brain or throat or hand...It is in retrospective of having watched the film that it makes sense.

I recognize many of the people I see in these chapters, but there are many people who are new to me. Nonetheless, there are lessons here that we can all take away...and I find myself wondering who the beautiful elderly lady who smiles lovingly while saying "[Her kiss on my cheek]makes me violent." I want to know the man with the lap organ who sings in deep resonant voice one of the most beautiful dirges I have ever heard. I want to hang out with most of the people in the film, although there are some who really p*** me off. I want to know the Mexican guy who talks about marketing...about the Mexican lady with the deep, raspy voice. I want to know and hug the elderly people in this film who are talking about growing old because I have more in common with them than I do with most people my own age. You get the drift....This is hard to do without specific questions to answer. Know that the musical base that Dunc set up is spectacular and the contributions of people like kd lang, Carlos Santana, Ulali, the Mahotella Queens, Franti and friends, Daniel Lanois, Eddi Reader,Will Young, Zap Mama, some rocking Japanese chanteuses and African divas and those beautiful people that we have seen or never met before...all of that is a loving symphony of sound that will be unforgettable to us all.

The chap is called Ron Hudson and he posted on "Will's" Myspace to say how much he enjoyed hearing the rough cut and was looking forward to the final track and sorry he missed him in Ibiza. It was how we first got to hear about it.

This from someone called jodie K:

But the music...... I can not say enough about the music. And the musicians - not just people who pick up instruments and play them, but people who play the human voice... amazing stuff.

OK, if I wasn't supposed to talk, yell at me. I've kept my little mouth closed for so flippin' long... and saw Ron's invitation to tell, I could not help myself.

And this:

Jon Mitchell Jamie, will there be any 2Sides2Everything showings etc.? 9/7/2007 10:21

Jamie Catto "nope"

Which means we will just have to wait until it's released. :P

It is chrysalis, I can't keep up with the months going so fast, my hair doesn't seem to have a problem keeping up though, the grey hairs are sprouting through very fast.

Snap. I've got a very good way of dealing with grey hairs - and it's not pulling them out. Bald's not very fashionable for ladies of my age!!
