Steve Brookstein has admitted that he is "not a fan" of Shayne Ward's music.

 

"He seems like a nice guy and he works hard," Steve explained. "I'm not a fan of the music - but then again, Shayne's only young so he doesn't know what he wants, so he's just going along with the ride.

 

"Sooner or later he might develop into a serious artist, but right now he's just pop."

 

Brookstein also criticised The X Factor once again, claiming that the public are throwing away their cash by voting for the show.

 

"It's a shame people vote so much and waste their money," he said. "It's all kind of a... bit of a scam."

He is actually quite right about the show. I have never voted on any of these shows - not even for Will.

 

And it is prerogative to say that he doesn't like the music - it is obviously not the sort he listens to. Can't say I like either of them!

Steve does sound bitter, but I'm not surprised. He was treated terribly by everyone on the show. Saying that he's 'just pop' is petty, but I think Shayne owes Steve a lot, because this year the X Factor people couldn't risk the winner being seen to be anything other than a massive success. If Steve hadn't spoken out, it wouldn't have been so important.

As for Brookstein I still cant see why he won in the first place - I mean I may despise G4, and many other stars to come from reality tv shows but at least they have a flicker of talent -_-
