They're 2 complete t**** that are totally unprofessional and cant handle presenting a radio show with 10 listeners let alone Radio 1. They need to start sending their job applications to gossip magazines cos that's all they're interested. Now do us all a favour and get lost

Now now now! Just because you have some personal issues doesn't mean you can take them out on me! Go and buy a stress ball, or something. Anyway, these cheeky chappies let a little ray of sunshine into my house every Sunday from 4 to 7 and it's going to take more than a git called 'Skizzo' to get them kicked off the air. I saw them on that BBCTV programme Top Of The Pops Saturday (Presented by the lovely Fearne Cotton) before it was sadly axed and I thought their chemistry together was as Tony The Tiger would say GGGGRRRREEEEAAATTT!! They are quite handsome too so the old adage 'faces for radio' doesn't really apply to 'em. What a pair of Adonises! Ant and Declan Donnelly, eat your heart out!

They should be given their own prime time slot on television. They can have one of those funny phone-ins, and then I'll ring them up and then I'll get them to ban all the songs you like on your signature on the radio when I tell them all the nasty stuff you've been saying!! LOLsters!! That Precious song was wubbish!! (I did quite like 'Rewind' though... Now I know our love can win, baby bring me back to then, take... etc.) Then YOU'LL NEVER HEAR ANY OF THEM AGAIN! THEN YOU'LL CRY! THEN THE WHOLE PLANET WILL FLOOD JUST LIKE NOAH'S ARK! And um... that movie. You know Evan Almighty is it? Oops, I think I've infringed on their copyright. Better go into hiding, me old mucker. But my ORIGINAL POINT REMAINS! Goodbye and goodnight (closes curtains)

I dont live in the Uk you dumbass, so you can hardly get the songs I like banned from the radio! I dont even listen to radio, who needs them when I've got the songs I like on my ipod. You're the one who started the personal "attack" so deal with it. Sounds to me you need to get your tongue out of their bums... No one on BJ apart from you likes those two brainless presenters so you're kinda on your own. Now that you got your point across, go away. The thread is to discuss the countdown by Mark Goodier and not those 2 things.
i agree with skizzo that mark goodier was much better at hosting the chart but honestly was there a need to be so abusive?every1 is entitled to their opinion.
Well that's what you get for starting witty comments like "go back to washing dishes'

point taken.but 2 wrongs dont make a right and let him be ignorant.

I was of course joking. They're too of the biggest pricks to ever hit the airwaves, and should be banned forthwith. I was just having a bit of early morning amusement, dat's all. I thought the general tone of my message would mean you'd easily figure it out as a gag, but obviously not. Personally, my favourite current chart show presenter is Scott Mills, who is far more interesting to listen to and actually seems to have a keen interest in music unlike the trained chimps. As I said, the entire thing a wind-up and I just came to inform you I am with you 100% on the deterioration of Radio 1, not just on a Sunday but also the playlist which is far too R&B for my liking now. Okay? PEACE! *Holds hands up*
Not as good as Fluff or Bruno Brookes. Lightyears better than Wez and JK and Joel.

IMO No one is as good at the chart rundown as the late great Alan Freeman was.

Second comes the late Tommy Vance

Lmao. It makes me laugh that you all hate them so much because they make a few mistakes! Tbf the public dont care - they DO listen in though so Radio 1 would have no reason to change them for any other presenter. I quite like them tbh ^_^

Agree with Skizzo, the R1 chart show has dumbed down since Mark Goodier left.

When it was changed to the Official Chart show in Feb 2003, it just wasn't the same

and when Wes left, and JK & Joel took over it was even worse, records were talked over,

even skipped, and stupid inane jokes and bland chat.

Mark Goodier and Bruno Brookes pissed over them all, and the late great Tommy Vance was

an exceptional chart show host too. In the UK Top 40 era you got ALL the hits played in FULL,

with knowledgeable presenters. Now THAT is how to do a chart show!

Actually playing all the hits in full was quite short-lived, the chart show gradually got longer during the early 90s. Back in 1990 they only played the top 10, new entries and as much of the climbers as possible. Occasionally they'd be able to fit in a high placed song that was falling, but the whole show was only an hour and a half if I recall...which was why TDK C90's were so great! It gradually grew to two hours, then three so they could fit in all the hits.

Changing the format of the show to include interviews, performances and other 'wackiness' was yet another bad decision by whichever moron was in charge of Radio 1 at that time.

Yeah that's right, in the mid-late 80s and early 90s they missed out the fallers at the bottom end of chart, i think

they started playing them all again around the mid-90s and that lasted until 2002 when Mark Goodier left.

In the 80's did they play all the hits in the top 20 but only new entries from 21-40 and selected climbers?.

Then from mid 95 the climbers started to become few & far between due to the change of release day. The charts then became very uninteresting with 99% of singles charting at their peak only to fall out of the chart 5 or 6 weeks later.

Since downloads became part of the official chart, it has become more interesting again.

Though arguably it would be more interesting without iTunes top 100 being available for everybody to see :P
