Isn't it amazing how one person can claim something and everyone believes them - but those who have actually met him say different. Anyone can say anything on the internet - and it's generally embellished in order to inflame and give the poster credence and importance that they probably don't possess. And it's almost always - a mate or a friend of a friend or a cousin or my mate's sister.

Chinese Whispers that, unfortunately, get given to the gutter press like the Mirror who are only too pleased to publish regardless of whether it's true or not and people repeat them and so it goes round.

A bloke on a website claimed Will was rude to him when he asked Will if he was "a giver or receiver" and Will told him to f**k off

Like the whole SA thing..if that was to be believed we had supported a pretend Will for nearly six years and the 'Real' Will had showed his true colours for the two weeks he was over there. i know he's a good actor..but not even Lord Olivier could pull off a performance that went on for five years..

and one question no one seems to ask these people if Will was such an arse to people how come not one Friend..or ex has every betrayed him to the press?..surely if he was like that he wouldn't have such loyalty would he?.

I may have punched him.

I saw that...it was on the youtube vid of LRN. Cant believe people think its acceptable to ask a question like that.....damn rude. I agree totally, if Will HAD decked him he would have been totally justified. Horrible comment to make and yet the idiot thought it was quite alright to ask.

Shameful

I never believed it anyway <_< But I have never thought of that before....normally people cant wait to dish the dirt when they feel they have been badly treated and its not like the press would turn them away ;) they would positively drool at the prospect ...I think the 3am girls would wet themselves if someone approached them with info like that

I can still feel the hairs on his left arm as I continuously stroked it while he signed for everyone after The Vortex, http://www.familycorner.com/forums/images/smilies/cloud9.gifhe kept smiling at me as well, sigh.http://www.familycorner.com/forums/images/smilies/daydreaming.gif

Every single person he is close to. family members, friends from boarding school or uni..co workers.. one-nighters, ex- boyfriends..have never said one negative thing about him....those who post their bile on messages boards as their 'friend who was there' or who 'works for'.. its only those who have no insight into him that 'claim' the things they print as fact.. funny that.

I didn't do this  for what the bloke said but that he was upset at Will's 'rudeness'. As you say SWF I reckon he was lucky to get away with an expletive - any other bloke would have punched his lights out if he had said that to them, a perfect stranger. Because that is what Will is. Just because he made his way through PI and was voted for by Joe Public - it gives them no right whatsoever to assume they can say or do whatever they like to him. And I think this is what is at the root of all these stories too - people don't like it when he doesn't treat them as they think he should. How many times have we heard that bloody comment "We voted for him, we put him where he is, he owes us". :arrr:

I remember Will saying how that was something that he had to get used to - the realisation that people had to feel close to him and touch him.

Just moving this to it's rightful thread.

Sorry to disappoint you but I didn't have to go scouring the Internet to find that review, I was searching for someone else that did put on a more memorable performance at the concert! However what I find strange is that for Will's so-called show stopping performance it seemed to have passed by most of the of reviewers notice. From that I take it his performance was obviously quite "forgettable". You seem happy that he was mentioned on half a dozen blogs but when you consider the 15 million viewers here in the UK and the millions of others worldwide then that really isn't much of an achievement is it. For me Will can obviously hold a tune, but he has absolutely no connection with his audience. He more intent in looking the part than entertaining the crowds and thats why his performance at the Diana concert went for most part unnoticed except for his fans no one else was really bothered either way.

Thanks TT..just the place for it..

but he has absolutely no connection with his audience

He connects with his audience in ways you couldn't comprehend.....still thanks for the concern.

So, searching for someone that did put on a memorable performance eh melle? and how many songs did he/she get to sing I wonder? I'm sure Will had intended to perform a showy SIO (which he did) then say hi to the crowd etc and then "connect" with the audience with the lovely LRN, sadly his set was cut :( speaking of connections, someone needs to stop connecting their jealousy to Will's success.
no one else was really bothered either way.

How come that friends have actually said how good he was then? People who have no axe to grind either way!

Is there some way that we can request Melle person and that Will123 person to get banned - all they ever do is post stuff to try to cause trouble between Will and Gareth fans, and try to wind people up. Surely it's against some sort of forum rules to do that?

Most men would feel totally emasculated to have another guy call them 'pathetic' and to 'get a life', on an open music forum, oh, the humiliation. Let's hope it's hit home to this Melle person and he realises what a total fool he's making of himself.

He'll probably slither (do woodlice slither? ) back over to DS though and continue making a pratt of himself over there instead.
