I dont think Raghav deserved it :P Or 50 Cent, he is really just a p!ss-take. His 'rap' is not a patch on the hip-hop of much more deserving artists like Nas - he should've made the countdown.

As Nelly Furtado's first two albums were hardly R&B, I'm instead going to focus this on her 2006 album Loose, which is firmly rooted in the R&B genre thanks to production from Timbaland and Danja. Lead single 'Promiscuous' took America by storm and in the UK, 'Maneater' did the same. 'Say It Right' has also been a major success worldwide, managing to sell well over 100,000 copies in the UK and peak at number 10, all on downloads alone. Timbaland has been widely credited as having 're-invented' Furtado after her 2nd album's sales disappointed. Loose has sold approximately 5-6 million copies worldwide and it's fifth (and possibly final) single 'In Gods Hands' is due for release soon.

Ne-Yo, the unusually-named artist whose real name is Shaffer, released his debut solo album In My Own Words in early 2006. It charted in the UK Top 20, launched by the number 1 hit 'So Sick', and at top of the chart in the US. Just a year on, second album Because Of You has peaked at number 6 in the UK and has already sold a million copies worldwide. Whether it will match the success of its predecessor remains to seen but with such lifeless slow jams as Do You being chosen for singles, it's perhaps doubtful.
