Janet Jackson, sister of the more famous Michael, is a 41 year old singer, dancer and actress, and according to Forbes magazine is the 7th richest woman in entertainment. Between 1982 and 2006, she has released ten studio albums; her most successful to date is 1993's Janet which features the US number one hits 'Thats The Way Love Goes' and 'Again'. 2006's 20 Y.O. album sold platinum in the US but worldwide shifted just two million copies. Janet, who featured in the much-publicised Superbowl boob incident, is currently recording her eleventh album for release this or next year.

Brandy is a 28 year old from Mississippi who rose to prominence in 1994 when her debut album went 4x platinum in the US. Follow-up Never Say Never performed even better on the charts, and featured the worldwise hit 'The Boy Is Mine', a collaberation with Monica. 2002's Full Moon sold Platinum but Brandy's success was in decline, and by the time of 4th release 'Afrodisiac', she was only selling Gold in America. That album spawned the hit 'Talk About Our Love' featuring Kanye West, whilst the title track almost reached the UK Top 10. After finishing with the Afrodisiac album, Brandy turned her attention to TV and served as a judge on the Reality show Britain's Got Talent. In late 2006 she was involved in a car crash and the woman with which she collided died, leading to an attempted sueing of Brandy and immense public hate. For this reason, the release of her 5th record has been put off, and it is expected sometime this or next year.

Cassie Top 14

She was 19 :P

YAY BRANDY. ''Afrodisiac'' and ''The Boy Is Mine'' are amaze

14th: Beverley Knight: 66 Points.

Voted for by Simon, Jark, Orlando, and Strawberry Bounce; highest position 1st (Orlando)

Beverley Knight is a singer from Wolverhampton with roots in soul music. Her debut album The B Funk went under the radar but follow-up Prodigal Sista has been certified Gold and includes the hit 'Greatest Day'. In 2002, Beverley enjoyed her first UK Top 10 hit with 'Shoulda Woulda Coulda'; it was taken from the album Who I Am which sold 250,000 copies and launched Knight into the limelight. 2004's Affirmation only performed half as well but gave us the summer smash 'Come As You Are', and is one of my all-time favourite albums. Knight later took part in two series of the BBC's singing competition Just The Two Of Us, before recording in Nashville, USA. In 2007 Beverley launched Music City Soul, which charted in the UK Top 10 and is a less commercial album full of funky and soulful songs.

"afrodisiac" was one of, if not, her best albums.

Bev is underrated imo.

I love ''Come As You Are'', ''Shoulda Woulda Coulda'' and ''Keep This Fire Burning''

Joanna Levesque is just 16 but has already released two studio albums and six singles. Raised in Massachusetts listening to soul music from her mother's record collection, she recorded her debut album for the Blackground label and released it age 13. Her debut single 'Leave' was a huge success, reaching the US Top 20 and UK Top 3. Follow up singles fared less well but the JoJo album sold over 3 million worldwide and soon JoJo returned to the studio. In 2006 she emerged more mature with a better vocal range that was well profiled on the hit 'Too Little Too Late', which went Top 5 on both sides of the Atlantic. The High Road album has been reasonably successful, with worldwide sales at 1.5 million to date; JoJo has said her third record will emerge when she turns 18, which hints at an early 2009 release.

29 Nelly Furtado

28 Ne-Yo
