Well, due to severe bordem and a bit of muse, I went through and created a person chart for every week in 2002 starting March 14th (using tophitsonline.com as a guide). After completing the year, using my points system I ranked every song my chart. Here are the results! I'll give honorable mentions, then the top 50. The top 50 will all have commentary and the top 20 will have youtube videos attached. Also I'll give the chart run, weeks on, and if that artist/band had any other song that just missed the top 50, it'll be mentioned too. Enjoy! And commentary is great. I love it. <333 So if you're enjoying this countdown just leave a little note about which songs you hope make top 10, etc.!

 

Keep in mind I started this using a chart from 3/14, so some songs which normally probably would've been much much higher are rather low. And also, 20 songs (the last chart from 2002) will still be going in 2003. So that may affect their position here. I'm going to try to do a yearly one and then maybe one for 2002-2007. It'll all be a bit disjointed because I had a chart from like August 2006 - November 2006 and just started one recently, so I may even overlap that one with this chart, but we'll see. Anyway, enough jibber jabber, on with the countdown.

A great dance song from Shakira. How can you not like this song? It's ridiculously catchy. The first single from her smash album 'Laundry Service.' This isn't the last of Shakira you'll see on this chart.

I still vividly remember absolutely adoring this song as a kid, even though I barely understood what they were saying. It's just a catchy spanish song, and probably one of the biggest spanish hits worldwide.

I'm actually not a big fan of this song. I love No Doubt, but this is probably one of my least favorite singles from them. Still, I love No Doubt, so that explains how it got so far. I do like Lady Saw's part though. <3 Another reason it got so high.

The first time I heard Put the Needle On It was on a plane ride to California. I fell in love instantly. If I had a chart back then, this would've topped my chart for a while. Unfortunately, I've become less interested in it, though it still holds a place in my heart. And it's still insanely catchy.

One of my favorite songs off 'Woah, Nelly!' only behind Turn Off the Lights. A really great song. Definitely reccomend it to fans of Nelly who haven't heard her older stuff.

I LOVE THIS SONG. Omg. Words can't describe how much I love it. It's beautiful and I love the video. I've been charting early 2003 recently and so far it's spent another 8 weeks at number one. It'll definitely be high on my 2003 list, and probably one of the most succesful songs on my chart.
