What a blinding album this is... The Killing Joke have been an influence on bands as diverse as Metallica, Ministry, Nirvana, System of a Down and Fear Factory (as well as pretty much all the modern Metalcore bands...), so they seriously merit your attention. This new album is a caustic, bludgeoning, pulverising powerhouse of a record; chock-full of grinding, raw riffage, pounding rhythms and in Jaz Coleman, they have a frontman with a voice abrasive enough to strip paint at 50 paces!

This is a genuine, true Punk Rock band, forget all your Green Days, Blink 182s, NOFXs, Offsprings, The Killing Joke would send the lot of them home crying for their mummies. These guys have been doing it since the late-70s and have lost absolutely none of their hard edge. In fact "Hosannas.." is an album which could not possibly be done by a band in their early 20s, because this is fury tempered with a focus and a direction, and is therefore far more incisive... "Hosannas..." has all the rawness, all the bludgeoning, blunt force trauma, but it also cuts like a scalpel. This album sounds deceptively primitive, but is anything but, it is sharp, it is complex, it is near as dammit genius. This is yet another band old enough to be your grandads pretty much, but making music that sounds so young, so exciting, so enthralling.....

I wouldn't mind getting some killing Joke, the nearest i've came to hearing them is hearing 'tallica's cover of The Wait (i think thats the song).

Great song, and 'Tallica did it very much justice..... I believe that Metallica said that "The Wait" was one of the songs that really inspired them....
