Anyone remember a band called Devo in the late 70's early 80's from the states. Their highly non conformist style of presentation, robot-like in matching one-piece industrial suits, fascinated the UK music media of the time.

Minor hits with..... I cant get no satisfaction, Joko homo, Be stiff, Whip it.

I remember this band, even had their album freedomofchoice, which contained the song Whip It. Quirky they were, yes, which was appealing to many at the time they were out.

"Whip It", "Mongoloid", "Girl U Want", "Come Back Jonee", all great tracks!

They're back together again and currently on tour.

yep... 'whip it' was good

wasnt it 'mongoliod' that was sampled for layo and bushwackas dance hit 'love story vs finaly' ?

I think so, but please don't mention that $h!te bootleg with 'Finally'. 'Love Story' was a perfectly good song when originally released. Some idiot came up with the idea of slapping an inappropriate vocal on top.

As for Devo - very hit and miss, but quite good fun :)
