Posted July 8, 200717 yr One time jazz funk guitarist whose melodic pop songs made him a mid 80's teen idol. Singles included, Wouldn't it be good, Dancing girls, I won't let the sun go down on me, Human racing, The riddle , Wide boy. He stopped performing in 1989 and became a songwriter for artists like............. Chesney Hawkes, Cliff Richard, Bonnie Tyler, Lulu, Ronan Keating, Jason Donovan, Nick Carter, The Hollies, Colin Blunstone, Imogen Heap, Darius, Gary Barlow and Let Loose. must admit to liking Wouldn't it be good.
July 8, 200717 yr He's produced some classic singles in the 80s, and still records every now and again. He has released at least two albums in recent years, including a single 'Wounded' which was very good.
July 9, 200717 yr Would'nt it be good is a classic ^_^ i agree i love that song i listens to it alot :)
July 9, 200717 yr B)-->QUOTE(Neil B @ Jul 9 2007, 01:40 PM) 1238575[/snapback]Where's Pete Seaton? :D not welcome!!! :) id delete any of his posts after that moronic stroke he pulled...
July 10, 200717 yr I remember being on holiday in France in 1999 & this track was played everywhere, where it was a top 3 hit: 7I5KjnrbeaE Les Rythmes Digitales ft Nik Kershaw - Sometimes A brilliant track, featuring his first vocal performance in a decade, miles better than anything Madonna came up with the same producer IMHO. The video is brilliant too.
July 10, 200717 yr Where's Pete Seaton? :D not welcome!!! :) id delete any of his posts after that moronic stroke he pulled... What stroke was that?

July 10, 200717 yr I really like Big Feather Bed, the one Darius song on which Nik is named as a co-writer. His fans could probably judge better than me how much input he had. It's one of the b-sides of Live Twice.
July 10, 200717 yr What stroke was that? stopping mark posting his totp seriese. Of course! I was thinking you meant something from further back. Anyway, he's banned most of us from his site now. No great loss :D Edited July 31, 200717 yr by Ricky
July 10, 200717 yr One time jazz funk guitarist whose melodic pop songs made him a mid 80's teen idol. Singles included, Wouldn't it be good, Dancing girls, I won't let the sun go down on me, Human racing, The riddle , Wide boy. He stopped performing in 1989 and became a songwriter for artists like............. Chesney Hawkes, who's sister was in the band Transistor with Natalie Imbruglia/Mel C songwriter Gary Clark also of the band King L and Danny Wilson who first charted in 1987 the same year as Johnny Hates Jazz (Funk) who had a singer and songwriter by the name of Phil Thornally, who once was in the Cure and also wrote Torn with Ednaswap which became a big hit single for one Natalie Imbruglia who was in Neighbours where you can find one Stefan Dennis. On the other hand this is a picture of Alisha Attic http://www.geocities.com/alishasatticrock/Alishas_Attic8.jpg and this is The Riddle (Gigi's) saAsDqJhzzQ Originally Brian Poole & the tremeloes, they were signed to Decca records in preference to the Beatles( they auditioned on the same day). They had early hits like Twist and shout, Do you love me and Someone Someone. After Poole left they were known simply as the Tremeloes and had more hits like Here comes my baby, Silence is golden, Even the bad times are good, Suddenly you love me, Call me number one, Me and my life. I quite liked some of their hits. Good to see Brian is following the Tiger
April 5, 201114 yr Yes wot a talented guy ( though I always get him mixed up with Nik Heywood ) " Would nt it be nice.." ..... an all time classic.. but he suddenly disappeared from view, Maybe he got fed up with the pop roundabout ? but the guy is still a legend and wot a brilliant songwriter Here's Nik in 2008 go here He looks a shoe in for some of the 80s nostalgia tours, wonder if he ever did any of them ? Edited April 5, 201114 yr by madonnaslave
April 6, 201114 yr The Riddle is really good, probably would make it into my top 40 hits of the 80s and pretty high there. I actually like the Gigi D'Agostino version of it also.
January 3, 201213 yr Happy new spam. Anyhoo, love Nik, seriously underrated songwriter, apart from that piece of crap he gave to Chesney Hawkes. Wide Boy is my favourite song of him, and his early 00s flop Wounded is always on my summer playlist.
