April 4, 200619 yr To be fair GillWill, I must have had about 15 e-mails about Will's releases and I am not a fan of his. So BMG do it to everyone who is on their mailing list.
April 4, 200619 yr apparently if you give them 3 of your friends email addresses :lame: you get to see him perform  would'nt it be more fitting to give them peoples addresses you dont like :P

Mind you for someone not a fan of the talented Mr Young you spend an awful lot of time on his boards so you probably merit them. :) How many have you had asking you & 3 friends to sign up to a campaign to get the artist to number 1 & gauranteeing you a place at his album launch? Don't they think many will turn up. Edited April 4, 200619 yr by gillwill
April 4, 200619 yr It's not just BMG/Sony or Louis Walsh/SimonCowell-who get the blame for everything. Universal companies do it too. It's easier to send an e-mail to everyone than pick and choose. What's the big fuss? The subject is always clear. I just delete them without opening.

I've already too much rubbish with the council strike! Edited April 4, 200619 yr by gillwill

Well that's probably because you're registered on his site, or is it just D you're a member of? Whatever, you got my share, 'cos I didn't receive a single one
April 4, 200619 yr They're impossible to delete when thay come through your letter box. I've already too much rubbish with the council strike! Those ones I recycle immediately in the box at the foot of the stairs and transfer to the recycling bin when I next go out. Just as swift as deleting an e-mail and it helps the environment. What a whiner! As if one leaflet about Shayne will suddenly tip the scales and make it impossible for someone to make their way through mounds of rubbish! Why not write to BMG/Sony and ask to be taken off their general mailing list?
April 4, 200619 yr My son got one this morning and the last cd he bought was Christina Aguilera's Stripped 2 years ago.
April 4, 200619 yr Why is it only Will fans that are so uptight and making a big thing of this? Preparing the big "Oh, it was bound to be a smash because it was so hyped" excuse, just in case Shayne goes to number one with huge sales? Pathetic!
April 4, 200619 yr Dear me - what a fuss over the promotion. That's what the record company does - it's their job to promote and 'hype'. I get emails all the time for a range of different artists from a range of different companies. Some artists I like, some I don't, it's no big deal. Though I haven't had a Shayne one.
April 4, 200619 yr Back to No Promises - It's definitely growing on me. I'm deciding whether to buy it or wait for the album later this month. Anyone recommend the b-sides?

Preparing the big "Oh, it was bound to be a smash because it was so hyped" excuse, just in case Shayne goes to number one with huge sales? Pathetic! I think your remarks are uncalled for, I also think you're missing the opinions in this thread and as usual having a pop at Will fans. I have never recieved 10inch colour postcards through my letterbox before, advertising an artists single and album launch and directing me to a campaign site for him/her. As far as I'm concerned Shayne Ward doesn't need to be hyped up in this way, as for saying "just in case he gets to no1 with huge sales" excuse me? that's a silly remark to make, of course Shayne is going to be no1 with huge sales, I think most people are of the same mind, in that he doesn't really need all this promotion and will get to no1 very easily without it. I hope Shayne Ward realises just how much of this promo is going to be deducted from his earnings. The b-sides are Unchained Melody A million Love Songs Over The Rainbow Edited April 4, 200619 yr by suggy
April 4, 200619 yr Now the size of the message is the key thing? Oh for goodness sake, you're getting more ridiculous by the minute going on and on about something and somebody you detest.
April 4, 200619 yr I don't know if I can listen to yet another version of Unchained Melody. I'll probably just buy the album then. Edited April 4, 200619 yr by Baytree
April 4, 200619 yr Now the size of the message is the key thing? Oh for goodness sake, you're getting more ridiculous by the minute going on and on about something and somebody you detest. Have I missed the bit when someone said they detested Shayne? Don't put words in other peoples posts Baytree, That's s***stirring and totally uncalled for. It's a perfectly legitimate discussion about Shaynes promotion, and your entitled to put your view. There's no need for the rudeness directed at other members here.
April 4, 200619 yr Now the size of the message is the key thing? Oh for goodness sake, you're getting more ridiculous by the minute going on and on about something and somebody you detest. Go and start a Darius thread or something  and I don't detest Shayne Ward.
April 4, 200619 yr Well that's probably because you're registered on his site, or is it just D you're a member of? Whatever, you got my share, 'cos I didn't receive a single one Neither have I, so I have made myself a new email address and registered on Will's boards again.
April 5, 200619 yr I'm registered with Sony/BMG and I frequently receive e-mails promoting their artists, but I have to say I have received at least 4 times as many for Will, than I have for any other artists including Shayne and Westlife. I've not received a post-card, but I would think they need to have your address for some reason to be able to send you one of those. And they certainly have not got mine.

I'm thinking it's the area you live in val4jaden, I live about 30mins away from Manchester and we've received 2 postcards this week for his album launch, I'm guessing if you don't live in that area you won't get one. :)
