i'm not sure if its out in all the cinemas because i went to see it at cineworld and it said it was a 'cineworld exclusive'

i thought it was really good, a lot better than i thought it was going be, and i'll definatly not look at one of those kinda dolls the same way again

It's certainly a bit different to Whannel and Wan's "Saw" films, but I reckon it's actually pretty alright, some moments are actually pretty eerie and the scares are well orchestrated.. I like the idea of it as well... It's not particularly original, but atmosphere wise it hits the spot...

Two main gripes I had though - Firstly, the main actor is a bit of plank tbh, I was certainly unimpressed by him, Donnie Wahlberg's cynical copper routine just blasted him off the screen. Secondly, the "twist" ending was WAY too obvious (I twigged it very early on when it occurred to me that there was something...well, not to give the game away.... rather odd about the Father character just on the first meeting), which was incredibly disappointing to me seeing as how Whannell and Wan are actually pretty good at coming up with surprise twist endings for their "Saw" films (well, apart from the third one, which was a bit of a crashing bore if we're being totally honest.....).

But yeah, it's pretty alright, as a Ghost Story it's pretty good, just rather predictable....

did u notice the saw doll towards the end as well?

I think I did notice that actually....

I think the creepiest bits of the film are when you see that seriously scary old lady sort of, float, around....... Very "J-Horror" that, like Sadako's granny.....

yeah that old lady scared the c**p outta me

i love films like this and i can watch them any time, day or night and on my own....but when i go bed and its quiet thats when i start to think about them and get scared lol, i kept expecting to see Billy stood next to my bed or something

i think its an exclusive as its supposed to be $h!te and nobody else wants it.

(not showing at the cineworld i go to - says it all )

Watched this today! :o

Tbh I think the film had an amazing storyline, set out well and put together well etc. but I found it a bit c**p tbh.

Although I thought the twist ending was REALLY good! :o The Saw writers get me everytime

One thing I did find though, the storyline is VERY similar to the Nightmare On Elmstreet...

SPOILERS COMING UP SO DON'T READ ON UNLESS YOU'VE SEEN THE FILM.....

Josh, I honestly dont know how on Earth an otherwise intelligent guy like you could not see the ending coming a mile away..... It was made a bit too blatantly obvious that the father character was himself a ventriliquist's dummy, the way he was dressed, the way he moved, the way he talked...... Okay, granted, the "wife" character, I didn't twig her as a doll herself, BUT, I kinda thought she may have been a distant relation of Mary's.... I certainly got the impression that she was at least part of it.....

It was an okay film, better than a lot of tripe calling itself "horror" these days, but on the whole I thought it rather predictable tbh....

There was only one part in the film that I was a bit, "Hmm, somethings not right here" which was when the father was telling the story, and then I thought, if his sons wife is dead, and she's after his son to, how come the father is still alive, which I got suspicious about, but I never thought that he was a ventriliquist dummy.

I also didn't think much of his wife either except for the fact that she was just a normal person who was a "gold digger". So I was really surprised at the end.
