LONG OVERDUE

PART 1

Hey everyone,

I have been really lazy with keeping everyone updated on everything i've been doing these past few months-plus u have virtually no concentration span so sitting at the computer for more than 2.5 mins is a rare occurrence!

Anyway, i can't remember what i said in my last blog but i have spent the past couple of months writing loads of new material for my third album. I came off some tour dates around europe feeling very excited about doing some new stuff and working with some new people. It is always hard coming off tour tho-i always have an amazing time with the guys and girls in my band-as you know they are all very close friends of mine and we all have such a laugh together-it is a very relaxed atmosphere and we can always pretend the outside world (going home to unpaid bills) doesnt exsist! I know that i when i went on stage every night i felt so lucky to be there and to be performing songs from both albums and basically doing everything i have been wanting to do since i was a little girl!

I think i would probably be happy touring 24/7 365 days of the year-coming home is always hard-on tour you tend to go into "spoonfed" mode-your poor tour manager having to organise a bunch of young adults acting like excitable school children and relinquishing all responsibility and knowledge of anything! This year has had a real impact on me-the album came out in the Uk and europe-had it's successes and it's problems which made going out on stage to perform even more meaningfull-it shows never to take for granted the position you are in. I wanted to say also that i have overwhelmed by the amount of support people have shown me -i know you make the biggest effort to come and see my live and write me letters and devote alot of your time and energy to what i am doing-it makes me want to work even harder and makes me love what i do even more-cheesy but true!

I can't say that coming home doesnt have it's plus sides too-this year has been the first in quite a few where i have been able to spend a little more time at home with friends and my loved ones-i've had time to relax a bit-write new songs-spend time with friends and be with Geordan. THe two of us are always trying to make time for what's going on in eachother's lives-it's always hard being in the same place and being there for eachother but we have had so many great times this year already-we went to Las vegas with my two sisters and 4 of our best friends and had an amazing time-the place is so over the top and we loved it-we had our nights out which ended in coming out of a club just in time for breakfast, we did our trip to the grand canyon which was utterly breathtaking and such an amazing site to see. We went o see "O" by Cirque de soleil which was the best thing i have ever seen on stage-i has tears in my eyes-we sat in the front row and Geordan was pulled up on stage to dance with a clown-perfect! We did our share of gambling altho i was renegated to playing Casino

war by myself as i realised i could leave Las vegas bankcrupt considering my poor bluffing techniques and complete lack of knowledge on how to gamble!

The holiday was definitely too short but amazing nevertheless. One thing we didnt do....was get married! I was being ask by alot of people whether i was gonna to visit a chapel while i was there-somehow being married by Elvis didnt appeal to Geordan and I, so he waited til we flew to Amsterdam last week! My show at the Heineken Music hall was an unforgettable night for me-the orchestra was incredible, it was truly an honour to play with them. The fans all came out and waited around for hours in the freezing cold afterwards to say hi-i was in the capable hands of Military pip so has to move quickly but got to say hi to everyone.

After a long and exciting day, Geordan took me by surprise and Asked me to Marry him. It goes without saying how happy and overwhelmed i was. I did ask him how he would feel about changing his name to Silvas..........! to be continued.....

Geordan Silvas

Aahh cool!!

Silverwoman!

I enjoy calling Lucie, Silverwoman. It has a nice ring to it! Ha Geordan Silverman though that sounds good, I don't think he'd have to call himself Silvas considering that's just a stage name.
