November 14, 200717 yr Well if Kate was going to do a title song for a movie it might as well be for a big $205 million fantasy Xmas blockbuster with a cast that includes Nicole Kidman, Daniel Craig, Tom Courtenay, Eva Green, Jack Shepherd, Ian McKellen, Ian McShane, Kathy Bates, Kristen Scott Thomas, Christopher Lee & Derek Jacobi. How about Kate for an Oscar Best Song nomination in 2008?
November 14, 200717 yr ...if that dreary Annie Lennox song can win an Oscar, I see no reason why Kate shouldn't get one. It's great to hear she's been working on new songs, too - and with the backing of a major motion picture house behind her, let's hope this release gets the 'big bang' treatment and not the usual Kate fumbling. It's a shame the Moyet album came out so late - the track 'Fire' on there, which is pretty stunning, is based on the Pullman books - and it sounds like something that could be made use of in a movie, too.
November 19, 200717 yr She's a goddess. My fave albums are: The Kick Inside Lionheart Cloudbusting Hounds of Love for me love The Sensual World also. Listen to the vocals on this. It might be sad, but it's awesome.  Hm901CXujEg

November 23, 200717 yr The tears have started flowing which is always a good sign when I hear a new Bush song. Edited November 23, 200717 yr by grebo69
November 23, 200717 yr Incredible incredible artist - my top 5 favorite albums of hers: 01 - The Dreaming 02 - Hounds Of Love 03 - Lionheart 04 - The Sensual World 05 - Aerial And Lyra is amazing. Obviously it's not in the caliber of her album tracks, but for a soundtrack single: it's wicked! :D I knew she wouldn't fail me now: everything she does is nearly perfection! :D :D
November 23, 200717 yr I love This Woman's Work. I only heard it on some drama a couple of years ago but loved it straight away.
November 24, 200717 yr It's a really lovely song, i love Kate Bush too. Great singer & songwriter. The cds of hers i have are The Whole Story, Hounds of Love, The Sensual World and The Red Shoes.
November 24, 200717 yr the word 'genius' is bandied about for everyone... in Kate Bush's case, even 'genius' doesn't do her justice. I love all her work - I re-listened to Hounds of Love, the Ninth Wave part, again this week - and even now it sounds futuristic and just breathtaking. Not sure how well this'll do as a single because it's too 'filmic'.... I love it a lot, but there's not much of a hook and actual 'song' if you see what I mean. But it's amazing, as all her work is. Favourite moments? Hmm.... Under The Ivy This Woman's Work The Sensual World Never Be Mine Night of the Swallow Jig of Life Hello Earth Mother Stands For Comfort Sunset Nocturn Moving Symphony in Blue Running Up That Hill .... easier to say anything and everything she does, really.
November 24, 200717 yr I have all the albums up to The Red Shoes on vinyl and I went out and bought The This Woman's Work Box Set so I could have the 2 extra CDs as well. Also have The Red Shoes and Aerial on CD of course Some of my faves are: The Big Sky (a really underrated single) This Woman's Work (gets me every time) Feel It The Kick Inside Army Dreamers Pi Pull Out The Pin The whole of the The Ninth Wave Rocket's Tail But really, apart from some of the songs on The Red Shoes I love everything!
