Posted July 9, 200718 yr Ok, so I'm back, so soon, but i know if i don't do it now when I am in the mood to ramble on about rubbish-i will leave it another few months! After reading back PART 1 of my blog-i realised 1-how much i had left out and 2-i can't spell or use grammar correctly! Forgive me-it must be even worse for those of you having to translate this into your language seeing as i have not yet challenged my brain enough to become Multi-lingual! Aaaaaannnnnnnnnnyyyyyyyway...I just got back from scotland after a brief visit to beautiful Edinburgh and now am gonna sit up late and tell you all about more stuff i been doing-feel free to skip any paragraph that bores the c**p out of you-i won't be offended! I have to mention my gig in Groningen a few weeks ago-i loved it, every minute of it. The weather was miserable but everyone was on a huge high from the dutch winning the football and the crowd was ready for a night of partying. We didnt go on stage til about 11pm but when we did we were greeted with nearly 10,000 people and it was the most amazing feeling-i have always loved playing in Holland, as many of you may know, and this night may have top alot of gigs for it's atmosphere, fun and spontaneity. We were very sad to have to get on the bus pretty much straight after the gig and head back to the hotel at Amsterdam airport. I was due to fly to St Tropez the next day to be with Geordan who was glamming it up with some of our friends on a yacht-yes-he loved it-i missed it-we flew back to london instead at the crack of sparrows, to the worst weather in english history whilst he continued to tell me about the gorgeous sites in France! I has such a wonderful gig in Holland tho that i wouldnt have wanted to be anywhere else-i was amazed at the crowd and how sweet they continue to be to me there and elsewhere in Holland. A few days later we were at the Bedford in London-still one of my favourites venues and intimate places to play. Tony Moore and Cafe Nero who have been promoting me as artist of the month at Cafe Nero put on my show for a small crowd and i really had a fantastic time that night. It feels so personal getting up there infront of a small crowd-it means that little bit more when they are there right infront of you and it makes me think about the lyrics to my songs alot more and brings back memories of when I wrote them. As always, i felt right at home there and Tony Moore who has been like a guardian angel to me-made sure it was a lovely night for everyone-he has been with me since the days of the Kashmir club and has encouraged and helped me so much ever since-which brings me onto what he has recently achieved -bringing the idea of the bedford to the 02! Every month, for one night-the Bedford bandstand comes to Indigo-the very cool and trendy venue inside the O2 stadium. I am so proud and amazed that Tony has done this-he is helping new artists by showcasing their talent-some of which is totally unknown as yet and giving them a chance to perform in one of london's best new venues. It was honoured when Tony asked me to Play at the first of these nights. I loved Indigo-we didn't get to play for long cause Justin Timberlake and Timberland had their after party in there after our gig-he is definitely forgiven! i got the chance to perform alongside 3 amazing artists-Karima Francis, Jamie Woon and Foy Vance- I was in awe of all of them-they were all so unique and really performed amazing sets-leaving me a true fan of what they do. I had to go on stage after Foy-if you were there to see him you would understand how i was truly dying of nerves after that-he was inspiringly good. I got to see alot of you guys after ,although it was brief-but appreciated. Thankyou for all the gifts and letters you have been giving me- i have loved it. So soon i go off to spain for another gig and I can't wait, everyone knows i love spain and it will be great to get out there. After that i will performing at both Warwick and Arundel castle which will be fantastic to perform with the orchestra-please come along if you can make it. All that is left for me to say-altho i know i have left stuff out but the attention span is starting to fade-is thankyou also for your messages of congrats for Geordan and I-i really couldnt be happier. This will be an important year for him and i will also be getting the new album done-but we are both looking forward to comes after it-being married to eachother! That's all i will say for now but i will leave you with a huge thanks, alot of love and wishes of happiness and success for all of you. love Lucie xxxxx _________________
