I remember being amazed at the gore and other things in Shakespear plays. Maybe some of the soap writers have read Shakespear.

I went to see Henry 4 part 2 once and it was the funniest thing I've ever seen. What with the scenery falling down and people dropping swords so the victim had to wait to be killed. You don't get many performances like that.

The poor company they must have been devastated.

I bet they were. But it was quite an experience and I know the audience loved it. My ribs ached after that.

Zeus, not strictly a character, but he turned Caliban into a monster and he was the main god so he'd be there in the background.

I think he's a good one to have.
