I never really watched 'Popstars', but when Darius walked out on Pop Idol without the beard and with short hair, I just said out loud - "Wow, who's that? He's gorgeous!!!" and I followed the programme and his progress from then on

(He looks pretty good with long hair and/or a beard too!! :D )
