Posted July 10, 200718 yr Hamburg honours Beatles teletext.co.uk Forty-five years after the Beatles launched their international career in Hamburg, the music-loving German city is putting up a monument to the band. Radio station Oldie 95, the organiser, said construction will begin this year of a steel monument representing the Fab Four - Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. The station says the £310,000 landmark will be built on a corner in the St Pauli area. Do you think this is a good thing to do or not?
