Rammstein guitarist Richard Kruspe has formed a side-project band, Emigrate, for an album, A Tale Of Two Cities, out September 3. Made with Rammstein producer Jacob Hellner, the band has bassist Arnaud Giraux, drummer Henka Johansson and keyboardist Sascha Moser.

Btw, this is the new song of Emigrate. It's called My World.

Opinions?

I just have feeling that I already heard this song somewhere. I still think there's something of Rammstein sound in the back. Richard's voice is too mixed for my taste. All in all, ok.

Musically, the "Emigrate" album is not all that far removed from Rammstein tbh, I was expecting a bit more of a change of style tbh, maybe something more Synthy or Industrial like NIN or Front Line Assembly, or even more like fellow Germans Wolfsheim... Devin Townsend does rather radically different stuff with Strapping Young Lad as opposed to the stuff he does with Devin Townsend Band... The vocals are the most different thing, obviously the lyrics are in English rather than German, but Richard's voice could not be more different from Tiel's....

Of course, now that Tiel has left Rammstein, their over-all style might become more like Emigrate....?

Yes, I also thought that would be something completely different, but it's not, that's still similar Rammstein sound. Though, I don't mind, it's ok for me. ^_^ Singing on English is what I support. :cheer:

According to Rammstein's official site, Till is still with them. ;)

COUNTERSTATEMENT REF. „TILL LINDEMANN LEAVES RAMMSTEIN“

Since the rumour did alarm people that Till Lindemann would leave Rammstein after the release of the upcoming album, we are pleased to inform you that after consulting Rammstein manager Emanuel Fialik, the so-called news turns out being a fake.

„Neither Till Lindemann nor another band member plans to leave Rammstein. The band is currently working on the next album and is in an excellent mood. As the greed for news is the actual doping in cycling, this 'news' is only serving those who spread the same. Though the world knows now that EnEsch has moved to Berlin, even the poor EnEsch was shocked by the outlook to have to step into Till Lindemanns footsteps. I hope he and the fans of the band will recover soon from this false report.“
