Posted June 30, 200718 yr I keep seeing adverts for a new Channel 4 show called "Cape Wrath". It was produced by channel 4 and an American TV company, where in the USA it's being called "Meadowlands" Here's the American advert: gVdfN-Ggmc4 Starts on 10th July Also, is it a new thing where American/UK producers each pay towards producing a new show, so they can split the costs and it gets shown in both countries, because it was also done with the BBC and NBC for BBC2 show "Rome"?
July 11, 200718 yr Eerie, tense, engaging and chilling - welcome to Meadowlands. The Brogans move to a seemingly idyllic suburb to escape something sinister in their collective past. They meet Brenda, their hyperactive and highly strung neighbour who speaks of almost nothing but the beauty of her daughter Jezebel. They meet Jack (of all trades) Donnelly, the local handyman who feeds off people's fear of him. They meet Bernard Wintersgill, a police detective who ensures the residents remain lawful and dispenses justice as he sees fit. Keeping an eye on them all is the seemingly impenetrable 'handler' Samantha. The Brogans very quickly realise that beyond mother Evelyn's melancholy, daughter Zoe's cold, predatory behaviour and son Mark's refusal to speak, they are not the only ones living with the repercussions of dire decisions made in the past. Everyone in Meadowlands has something to hide and it's only a matter of time before their secrets resurface to ruin them. Anybody else catch this last night? I really enjoyed it. Was really gritty and I think the whole concept of it is brilliant and I think the foundations of the rest of the series have realy been set out now with what happened at the end. :o
July 11, 200718 yr I loved it!!! I was gripped the whole way through :D Can't wait for the next episode!
July 11, 200718 yr Was this on last night  I thought it was on tonight, damn I missed it Yeah it was, but it's on E4's Second Chance Sunday I think. Not sure what time though.
July 11, 200718 yr I was going to but I was exhausted, and when I saw it was on for an hour and forty minutes I just couldn't be bothered ... might catch it on SCS since y'all loved it though!
July 11, 200718 yr Forgive me if i'm stating the obvious. But does anyone else think that they're once in Meadownlands they're not allowed to leave? So they're kind of like trapped inside Meadowlands forever. And it'll be interesting to see why they're in witness protection...it seems to be hinting that it's the Dad's doing why they're in there, but i'm not so sure.
July 11, 200718 yr I thought it was a one off, so thought it was a bit c**p as not much happened and it didn't go anywhere near as fast as I thought it should. But as it's a 7 part series, it was quite good and I shall certainly watch future episodes!
July 11, 200718 yr Author Don't know about them not being allowed to leave because the one who got killed said he wanted to leave But the bit at the petrol station where the girl met somebody who "knew her" but she didn't remember her, maybe they're being brainwashed into forgetting their old life I think it's being showed in the US aswell seeing as though it was co-produced with channel 4 and NBC Edited July 11, 200718 yr by blade699

And yep it's been shown in the US, and they're ahead of us as well.
