March 31, 200817 yr found by pompeyloz on D Blog on Dreamkatchers Myspace re: Teardrops! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey there! We just wanted to write this blog because we were so moved by everyones response to our song ’Tear drops’ which featured Will Young. We could not have asked for a better response with Pop Justice making it Song of the Day giving it rave reviews and many radio stations requesting copies so they could let more people enjoy it. Unfortunately Tear Drops was taken down from our page due to legal pressure from 19 management. A statement posted on Will Youngs official website said the track should not have been on our myspace page and we did the wrong thing. They also sent us messages accusing us of wanting to ride off Will’s fame! The truth is that Tear Drops was written and performed by the dreamkatchers and we collaborated with our good friend, Will Young who is really into the track and into making it happen. We took Tear Drops off our page because we did not want 19 management suing Will Young. Will is not a hip hop artist and he took a very brave step crossing over like that, but from the rave reviews and amazing responses from fans we see what creativity and courage as an artist he has and it is such a shame 19 management is holding him back and stopping this song from reaching its full potential! The dreamkatchers are here to stay! Our music can not be suppressed and our fans can’t be denied! Thank you all so much for supporting The dreamkatchers and Will Young and I have heard some of Will’s new tracks and trust me you won’t be disappointed. Much love, NFA + Oec sad blog :( but love the bit in bold :cheer:
March 31, 200817 yr Thanks BYM&Ms. Just read this over the road. 19 aren't just Will's managemrnt company there is a whole lot more involved than that. I'm sure if he wasn't happy he would have moved on. Maybe he will if he is tied into a contract - coinciding with his 30th birthday. Really pleased about the feedback we are getting on the album though. That's three who have now given it the thumbs up. Edited March 31, 200817 yr by munchkin
March 31, 200817 yr Author Loving all the positive feedback re the new album. Now all we need is the view of someone who is totally detached. Shame about the DK track but we'll never truly know what goes on behind the scenes.
March 31, 200817 yr No we don't TT - and maybe it's just as well - we worry enough just knowing what we do!!! Perhaps if they had been signed to a label there may have been deals made. This is a lovely heartening comment though and similar to other comments from others he has worked with: Will is not a hip hop artist and he took a very brave step crossing over like that, but from the rave reviews and amazing responses from fans we see what creativity and courage as an artist he has Edited March 31, 200817 yr by munchkin

This is a lovely heartening comment though and similar to other comments from others he has worked with: As we chatted about earlier, never afraid to step outside of the box. :D Respect comes from those he works with & we shouldn't bother about comments that come from those who haven't the foggiest idea what he is about.
March 31, 200817 yr It's lovely to read all the great comments about the new album, from Biff Stannard, Karen Poole and now the DK boys, a bit sad about 19 taking such a stance about the DK/Will track though, :( it's really nice of them to post that message up on their myspace blog, grrr! to 19. :arrr:
March 31, 200817 yr They also sent us messages accusing us of wanting to ride off Will’s fame! bast*rds!
April 8, 200817 yr Only a little mention but great to see International acts on the RCA label also played their part with artists such Justin Timberlake, Pink, The Fray, and Britney Spears. RCA also has a strong line up of artist albums for 2008, including new albums from Usher, Will Young, Beyonce, Rod Stewart and Dido.

April 28, 200817 yr Author Thanks so much sunday. :D  :cheer: :yahoo: Guess I was right earlier. It's so quiet in Will's`world, though I expect not for the man himself. :) Some interesting titles there. I'm really hoping most of the songs chosen for the album are co-written by Will.
