I'm really hoping that the lack of tv shows to promote, leads to a lot more small live gigs.

If there's one critisism I have of the KO period, for me, it was like a Westlife promotion. One album, one arena gig and on to the next project. Friday's Child had seen 3 tours promote it, that's probably another reason for it's huge sales, but apart from the two lcompetition only dates, I can't think of any others for KO and to be honest, a tour a year on from release, isn't going to push sales too much either I wouldn't think.

I've noticed that the new kids on the block, like James Morrison and Paulo Nutini are out there singing most of the time. Live is where Will excels and even if I can't get to see him myself, I hope he'll be doing plenty of 'live' next time around

I'm sure Will would be much happier promoting this way too. He finds the endless tv & radio promo so tedious, answering the same mundane questions & being reduced to singing the same song over & over again to a backing track. Wasn't it at the AOL sessions that he said if he could do that every day he would?

Things have changed so much since the release of KO so Will & his management need to do a rethink & as you say Marguerite Will out there singing live with his band is the best advert for selling his music.

And don't get me started on the lack of a proper album launch for KO :arrr: How bloody stupid was that?

If you're to get the decent media reviews and the appreciation of your peers, it comes from the smaller more intimate venues, bloody great arenas, just don't have the same vibe :D

After the furore surrounding 'Home' over on Devoted  , I had a look back at the reviews forum. How did I miss that Chris Martin and Guy Richie had been sitting on the floor listening to Will perform the track with Nitin at the Electric Proms?

Not such much a furore as a one woman crusade.

I remember reading at the time about those two being at the Electric Proms. They probably weren't there to specifically see Will but I hope they were impressed.

Furore? Really? I thought I spent far too much time on Devoted, but obviously that one went right over my head! Although TBH whenever I've got a new Will album , I'm far too busy listening to it than reading everyone else's opinion on all the tracks!

Love the idea of lots of live performances to promote the next album  Although if my luck is true to form, I won't manage to get tickets for any performances while the people who are always 'lucky' will no doubt be 'lucky' again :(

I love the excited anticipation of wondering what delights Will has got in store for us :yahoo: And I can't wait to find out what sort of a sound he comes up with when he's feeling relaxed, happy and confident. FC was his first foray into 'his own sound', KO more personal, more accomplished, but a product of unhappiness rather than satisfaction. What sort of music is he going to make when he's at a great place both personally and professionally, and feeling free from pressure, expectation and personal turmoil? I've a feeling it's going to be his best yet, really amazing!!

I've loved the tracks he's done with Robin Thicke and Groove Armada, so more of that would be wonderful. But I really don't mind who he's working with, I have every confidence he'll deliver the goods :D

If I had one wish for the next album, it would be for a new producer and a simpler sound. Steve Lipson did a great job with FC and KO but they sound a tad over-produced to my ears. But Will seems to stick to the people he feels comfortable with, so it'll probably be Lippo again. But that's only a very small quibble, I'm sure it won't detract from my enjoyment of album No. 4. Bring it on, Will, I can't wait! :w00t:

Aw, I thought this was near the top because there was some news. Never mind, I can wait.

Lovely positive uplifting post Peachycheeks. Like you I really can't wait to see what Will has in store for us with album 4. :yahoo:

Great to see you posting. :D

As long as he doesn't do a radio tour I will be happy. I do hope that he does a theatre tour this time. I loved that one.
I'd prefer a theatre tour too. So much more intimate and friendly than the arenas, and I actually managed to see him.

I'm honestly not fussed as long as I get a ticket.

Although I can see the benefit of intimate gigs I always feels so deflated when the same people seem to get the tickets. :( I know it's wrong to be evnvious but I can't help it.

I don't see it as "wrong" TT...in those circumstances it's perfectly natural :)

I would definitely like him to do a theatre tour this time. I wonder if he will have an arena tour, it depends how well received the album is I suppose.

I think it was just a matter of time restraint last time that he didn't do one.

Love the idea of Will being the first to do a gay love interest video btw. :D

Song so far :w00t:

'All Messed up'

'Fall Away'

'Got to go'

'Dirty business'

Although you never can tell with Will that they make it on the album, but it's something to keep us going

F/G - Dirty Business isn't one of Will's it's a track that Karen has written with Eg White.

I think this has already been released as a dance track anyway in 2006, it's best to look at the Will Young written tracks with other writers or performance tracks.
