So do I. It's interesting that not once, but twice we relegated 2 of his singles to the last eleven.

I was extatic when he brought out Colourblind because he was so happy because he'd stood up, fought back and won. I still love the song, although it's been played to death. Rushes I loved on first hearing, went off a bit because of overexposure and then was knocked out when I saw him sing it live. It's still one of my favourites. Incredible's video image was wow! I liked Girl In The Moon as a song and would have preferred him to sing it as he wrote it, not ape the sound of the early Beatles. In saying that it always sounded great on Hollyoaks and fitted the action so well. Kinda Love - one for live performance IMHO. I loved everything about Live Twice.

The problem with this top forty is, it was based on a lot of fans' top tens and some of the singles had to be jettisoned for better album tracks and b-sides.

See, I'd only keep 'Rushes' and 'Live Twice'. I sometimes include 'Colourblind' just because of the pleasure I got from seeing him singing a non PI song.

For me, 'Dive In' and 'Mercury Rising' were so good, it was a shame they weren't heard. Live Twice as an accoustic song, was brilliant. I didn't like the way some tracks on 'Live Twice' were recorded.

Mercury Rising and Dive In are my two lost singles from Dive In. He should have put out Mercury Rising instead of the similar sounding Incredible and then ruled the summer airwaves with Dive In.

From Live Twice I'd have led with Live Twice then Only You, Better Man and either Resolution or Love To Love

If he wanted poppy, he should have gone with 'Stars Crash Down' or 'How Do You Like It' I'd have liked #'Only You' to have been recorded with more gusto but, I think that's a lovely song.

He gives it more welly when he's got a stage to roam.

Both Stars Crash Down and How Do You Like It stick in the head and go round and round.

I found the top 40

A double album with a Christmas bonus EP Winter Wonderland, Let It Snow, When A Child Is Born and Merry Christmas Everybody. Ooh yes please.

Thnks dd. I seem to remember that 'Rushes' would have been top 10 if the two were put together. I can't wait to see what you have for us for this Xmas.
If Rushes was combined and placed in 10th position, that would leave one more available space. What D song would you add to this top forty?
I think I may go for Pretty Flamingo' I know he didn't write it but I love his take on it. As I may have mentione once or twice, I do like the accoustic numbers.

OK Let's choose from any songs Darius has recorded, not necessarily those on which he has a writing credit..

Amazing. I never realised that here isn't one cover version in the top thirty nine and only one song doesn't have D as first writing credit.

How are you going to do this BT? I've put my one in. Are you going to collect nominations and then have us vote?
A song Darius has recorded, because it has to have been available to have been played by Leigh as part of that Top Forty.
I'm tending towards the live version of Under My Skin although it's a cover because it's a rare baritone one but I might yet change mymind.
That's the proble, think about it too long and your mind changes. I have a feeling it's a problem for D as well.
