Posted July 15, 200718 yr September 25th 2007 September 25th 2007 must be marked in your agenda/phone/ipod because that day the highly anticipated solo album of will.i.am will hit the stores. "Songs About Girls" In an interview with RollingStone Magazine Will said the following: "Will says there’s a narrative flow to the record: Boy meets girl. Boy gets girl. Boy goes to strip club. Boy gets caught cheating. Girl leaves. Boy and girl somehow get back together. The cut “Donkey,” is a ridiculous club joint featuring Snoop Dogg; we’ll let you figure where that one fits in the timeline. But wait, there’s more. In the next few weeks Will is headed to Brazil. Instead of blowing his wad on a big-budget video, he plans to shoot a movie in a local favela (a shantytown) that will coincide with the themes on the record. He’ll star in the movie as a character called Willie, a club DJ who aspires to be a big-time producer. And Willie will have a soundtrack of his own, which features harder hip-hop beats, harder lyrics and a harder edge – Nas guests on that puppy. “I got two records done,” Will says, adding that if you purchase Songs About Girls, you’ll get the whole multimedia enchilada." Look for the first single to be "I Got It From My Mama" and a Snoop Dogg collaboration dubbed "The Donkey"
