July 17, 200718 yr It'll take me a while to get used to. I have remet one of the girls I used to be friends with from the old sit. She has an extra child now - that'll keep her busy. It was really good catching up.
July 17, 200718 yr That's great. What it's all about. In today's mail I got an invitation to a christening on Sunday and I'm not sure whether to buy a gift or just give money. I'm tempted to do the latter, but there's this thing I have that money or vouchers are seen as afterthoughts or signs that you couldn't be bothered choosing a suitable gift. What do you think, megham?
July 17, 200718 yr I have, in the past, both given the money, the parents had a trust account for her and given 'fun' presents. Once, I gave half a sovereign. I don't think there is a correct answer. I think money is an easy option but, if the parents are responsible, it is never to early to start saving for the wonderful future you hope the child will have. I fell that some christening gifts are the easiest option but have no value to the child at all. I'd probably go for money unless there is something you really know is wanted or needed.
July 17, 200718 yr I'll get a little thing to unwrap and cash will be the proper gift. She isn't a babe in arms. She's over a year now. I think the council have gone mad. Another guy came to cut my downstair's neighbour's grass and cut mine too........again... and all while I was out shopping.
July 17, 200718 yr How come our gardeners don't look like the ones in all the American sitcoms like Desperate Housewives?
July 18, 200718 yr  Why didn't I think of that? I still haven't tested the water on myspace. Edited July 18, 200718 yr by Baytree
July 18, 200718 yr I don't think that there is any water BT but, if you do find any, let me know wher, please.
July 18, 200718 yr You can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink. I don't think I'm missing out on anything by not having a myspace.
July 18, 200718 yr Well, with water and horses, who knows just what you're missing? Maybe sea horses next.
July 18, 200718 yr Sea horses are fabulous and great male role models. I wonder if there are any on myspace or on youtube. Edited July 18, 200718 yr by Baytree
July 18, 200718 yr Sea horses are fabulous and great male role models. I wonder if there are any on myspace or on youtube. What is it about sea-horses that is strange - is it that the males actually carry the babies and give birth?!! I hope I don't sound like a total idiot!!! - it's something along those lines, isn't it!!? Julie
July 18, 200718 yr It is. They fold their stomoch around the eggs and carry them until they can survive on their own.
