Some people in the team behind him didn't seem to have their finger on the pulse at all. They were genuinely taken aback when they ran that survey thing and it turned out most fans were between 16 and 35. They were clearly wrong, so what did they do? - carried on as before, of course.

If they had just looked at the turnouts, they may have even guessed. Darius had noticed. He said that he'd an idea the wrong age was being targeted. Know what? I agreed.

I cannot imagine why they would think he was aperformer aimed at teens - he was way to good for that

I think mid teens appreciated him. He's just too much for the little ones, although my 9 and 12 yr old love him but, they hve met him a few times in their lives.

That is the problem exactly, BT. It's threatening to be big and male and good looking. People with good manners and intelligence used to be valued. Now people try to destroy them as they can't match them.

I was hoping that the backlash against fame for fame sake and chavs rule, stirred up by Celebrity Big Brother might have changed attitudes a bit. But no, it's just the same - those who slag off other artists, the collect celeb lovers mob, those who deliberately set out to shock or break the law, get all the limelight and people flock to buy the magazines and tabloids to read about them.

We're back to the media. Until good qualities are shown to be praised, then there will be no change
