July 26, 200717 yr It really has Darius' history on it. Here I don't have to worry about people taking offence because I mispell something or use incorrect grammer. I can look at my old videos on that site, which is nice and remember all the old gigs. It is the official one now. It's the one D gives out as his site. Actually, it's an awful lot better than the old official one.
July 26, 200717 yr I think history is always important. I still haven't forgiven Mercury for the way they switched the first official site without any warning. A lot of time, love and skill had gone into that forum and most people lost everything because there was no time to back up.
July 27, 200717 yr I wasnt thinking about it from a social point of view more from the fact that if it ever went for the reason ive mentioned and this one went down like before, it wouldnt be good.
July 27, 200717 yr It's Sonnet's site but she doesn't start many threads on the forum so I suppose she's content with it as it is.
July 27, 200717 yr Rachel only starts threads if she has news or information about Darius. She doesn't get involved much in the social side, just watches what is going on to make sure no aggro starts. Darius is lucky that Rachel's site exists and all he has to do is get in contact with her if he wants something posted, else he'd only have myspace and bebo. I know from my own site how much time it takes to keep it going and up to date. It also costs money.
July 27, 200717 yr That's true and it's something I'm more than happy to help out with. I just feel awkward sending something on spec, especially as I can't use paypal. I forgot all my details because I hadn't used it for a good while and I can't set up an account again because I've used my email addresses before and it won't let me.
July 27, 200717 yr on here it feels we are encouraged to post whatever, I wouldnt post like this on .net, as I fel it clogs up the site, so its great to have somewhere we can.. I read, check and if feel the need reply on .net, its still THE Darius site, and the one I refer to for news, videos, pics etc..but not to chat on. and I have NEVER felt any personal concern for any artist before Darius..wierdly..I was only a fan of a few, Marc B, Freddy M.fancied them, loved the music.only bought a couple of their records though, didnt think about supporting..or their lives..they were just posters on the wall, perhaps thats the teenage thing..in fact by the time they both died I had more or less shrugged and was not into music that much.
July 27, 200717 yr I think the internet is great I have made lots of new friends Through the Darius sites and another I go on. I am guessing it would have been much harder to have met so many of you without it
July 27, 200717 yr I's harder to go and say 'Hello' to people you have no knowledge of. I try but it's not always succesful. I'm obviously a dodgy character And you can all shut up . That's before the insults fly.
July 27, 200717 yr If I know I'm going to be approaching the right person, it's easy enough. The ribbons were a great idea and no-one could have missed the banner and the wonderful people around it. The generosity of fans willing to post their pictures with Darius also helped to put faces to usernames.
July 27, 200717 yr Is it by any chance alphabetical? I'd like him to value his acoustic stuff most because for me it's purer.
July 27, 200717 yr I wish you hadn't said that. I was just thinking how great it was first. Acoustic Jazz Rock
July 27, 200717 yr Apology accepted and my mind is being washed and I now think that it's because it's his preference again
July 27, 200717 yr His first instinct is to grab his 'acoustic' guitar and just sing, so I think you're right.
