when i played this in the car my mum thought it was Kirsty MacColl. id say thats a compliment

Mr Rock & Roll is a fantastic song, she reminds me of a younger Kirsty MacColl meets Natalie Merchant (10,000 Maniacs).

 

The song deserves to go Top10, and she is another genuine young British talent unlike the overhyped media driven Lily Allen.

Really liked this from the second I heard it! She's like a happier KT Tunstall :P

I heard it for the first time in the chart and I do quite like it, and she has a good voice. Could grow on me more in the coming weeks. ^_^

I'm 20 and I'm loving the fact that loads of great 20 year olds are around at the moment, not least Kate Nash and Amy MacDonald

 

The fact that they are both :wub: particularly helps!

Virgin Radio have played Mr Rock & Roll every hour for about 3 months now. It's became one of my least favourite songs of the year as a result.

I can see how it would grate...There are stronger tracks on the album than Mr Rock & Roll
