The Sunday Telegraph, an Australian publication features an article today July 15, 2007 page 32 called 'Stars out for RSPCA.'

'Pop divas Pink and Hilary Duff have agreed to front an RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) program to encourage teens to respect animals.

Pink, Hilary Duff, Jade MacRae and Deni Hines have recorded messages for a multi-media high school program to combat teen cruelty.

RSPCA deputy CEO Steve Coleman said children who abused animals often grew up to be equally callous towards humans.

"If you look at three of the major murderers of the past 10 or 20 years - the Anita Cobby case, the Janine Balding killers and Martin Bryant - all of those people were involved in animal cruelty," he said.

"People who are cruel towards animals - it's a real trigger. If we can somehow prevent or curb some of the violence these kids are inflicting, then we're making a mark on turning these people around."

Mr Coleman said using celebrities to promote "it's not cool to be cruel" was enormously helpful.

"We all know how easily kids can be influenced, both good and bad, by celebrities," he said.
