any gossip or news we get or can glean from Darius can go in here.

I know Darius mentioned 2008 for a release, and that he is recording in his studio in LA an din London.

The musical direction will be more mature and less pop.

4th?

I know I got to bed late only in the morning, but this place seems pretty much as I left it. I can't have suffered timeshift of Dr Who proportions and missed D's 3rd album.

lol just realised I had done that - well its been so **** long - it could have should have been the 4th!! I have edited it now,
I wondered what BT was talking about. We know what D is doing, what he wants but, not what's going to happen. He seems to change his mind so often. I loved the last rejects. I think we all have an idea what kind of tracks it may be.

Didn't he hint that he was particularly pleased with a song he'd finished recording in London and that it was definitely in the running for album no.3 ?

I hope a certain Forum friend of all of ours won't mind me saying that when she and her husband went for coffee with Darius

in Liverpool between the matinee and evening performances, he told them that the album was nearly ready and when questioned about the type of music, he replied that we weren't to worry and we would all love it!!! :D

He has also implied though, that if anything came up that he really wanted to do/couldn't refuse, then he would put the album back!

Even though I am anxious to hear the new album I feel D should be performing as much as possible and getting himself back in the public eye before releasing his new music, because I would hate a repeat of the 'Live Twice' fiasco when radio stations refused to play his singles!! He is a very intelligent young man and I am sure he has a 'gameplan'!!

Yes, that was 'Song X' - I think that was mentioned way back when he was in Chicago!! He said in the Xmas Q&As that it is the song he is most proud of. :D

he always says dont worry we'll love it but, we all have different taste andit's not that easy.
Please tell me SF is not planning to follow what appears to be their latest line for raising an artist's profile - a documentary or worse, his own reality show. IMHO 19 have proved to be less than skilful with regard to those type of programme.
Well, Darius always used to say he'd never do another one. Le's hope he sticks to his guns.

What seems to work a treat in America is to get one of your songs on one of the popular TV series. I think Amy Winehouse had two different ones on Grey's Anatomy but in saying that, it didn't work for Brian McFadden when one of his better ones was in the often repeated trailer for Lost.

I still think the difference between a hit and a massive global hit is sometimes just luck and/or money.

How I agree with Baytree. In fact his latest documentary with posh and becks has been slated by ther american critics and this morning in the Sun (yes I know its Victoria) it says has David made a big mistake in joining Galaxy football team as they are just like a local pub team when they play and didnt like they way they presented GG Iin his documentary either. I think 19 have too many irons in too many fires. Then I read this morning that Susanne shaw of Hearsay is doing a documentary on Scotland about Barons and baronesses and I think why not D, and that she is very busy, John barrowman is to have his own TV chat show, Denise van outen gets a new tv part. all of whom to me are average and as Julia says he needs to get himself back in the public eye.

I thought Gareth's documentary only did one thing. It let people know he was still singing and was about to release an album.

I was expecting something like D's Dive In documentary, where Gareth would have talked directly about his songs and would have been shown recording and performing.

Because the documentary looked amateurish, poor Gareth got the backlash. Out of all the footage they shot, someone edited it and left in parts where Gareth was trying to clarify what exactly they wanted and they stubbornly refused to tell him, leaving him to guess and looking indecisive and weak.

The editing on the Posh doc was also shocking and the direction just didn't work. Someone was setting up scenarios for Posh to show her humour. Her 'PA' was an actress. If she has a senseof humour, they should have been able to follow her as they did and put together a montage of genuine clips.

I'm more worried about the possible run up to the release of D's 3rd album now than I was last week. I had accepted that the G doc was just one bad apple. Posh's makes me think there's a lack of control or talent.

I loved the docmentarys Darius has done so far, the India one and the one when he was just starting out after PI, which was only shown in Scotland.

but its all over kill now, hype ..to be honest most of these reality shows are watched by people who like to laugh AT the celebs..and in a snippet I saw of The beckham one, Victoria made herself look stupid..pouting for her driving license photo in the US..then asking if they did touch ups..now she may be a thick..but if she was putting on that purely for the cameras it is even more pathetic,

I could watch darius if he was invovled in a serious documentary..say about his adventures in the music industry..opening the lid etc..but not like some side show freak like the other reality show poeple come across as..selling they intergrety to be laughed at for money. I am thinking the Jorden couple..the simpson couple..mind you even I found the Ozborne show a revalation thetimes I caught it..LOL..

I'd just like a series of gigs like the ones he'd planned to do 2 years ago. Where people can actually hear him sing.

What I am sure of, is that TV is still a very powerful medium and if handled wrongly, can be pretty disastrous.

As one of Will's fans pointed out SF is not as close to the action as he used to be. The six part reality show detailing VB's move to America might have seemed a sure winner on paper, but I doubt whether SF had spent any extended period of time with VB recently.

I just hope that Darius has his wits about him when he considers any plans to launch his album.

Brilliant for us, but how many people would they reach unless they were covered by the nationals or televised ?
