March 1, 201015 yr They do have some still for sale in shops - but most are on-line shops and even more are downloads. I like to have something with artwork in my hands. Yes and then you have something to actually show for your money if you know what I mean
March 1, 201015 yr Cat out of bag? EMI? It'll be interesting to see if that's true. Even if it was, it wouldn't give us a clue which way he'll go with the 3rd album. There are so many labels under the EMI umbrella.
March 2, 201015 yr As long as it is not religious music and sung mostly in English I don't mind what it is
March 2, 201015 yr It is........... going by the name quoted. He's involved with 3 labels - Charisma which seems to be a catch all - singer/songwriters/ pop/adult contemporary; Hollywood records - something to do with a deal with Disney; EMI Classics - what it says on the tin.
March 2, 201015 yr You know, no matter what genre of music Darius decides to release an album under next I really don't mind because I will still buy it to support the man! If he's happy singing opera or religious songs then that's fine my me, it certainly fits in with the requirements of my eclectic music taste :)
March 2, 201015 yr Or the new classification It's not announced, so it may be an idea to keep it a bit quiet
March 2, 201015 yr Author according to the ocntact info on Darius' official site David Quirk is Darius' manager at CrownMusic - I just took it he used to be at EMI? from the post.
March 2, 201015 yr If it's the same guy, he was marketing manager firstly for the Innocent label and then for those three labels, so I should think he's handled virtually every kind of singer and knows plenty of people in the business and the kind of loopholes to be avoided.
March 3, 201015 yr I was just thinking if on ly his album had been released for this mothers day, would have made greater impact riding on the back of PSTOS. hope they havent missed the boat again.
March 3, 201015 yr I think the show and particularly winning, has created it's own problems. I don't think Darius expected to take to operatic singing like a duck to water. He'd hardly ever used his baritone range. He's only been back in the UK for 3 months and those have been spent working solidly on PSTOS and stealing an hour or two in the studio on rehearsal days. He's been busy since the final. I don't know if he's had time to get his own head clear about where he's heading, far less get involved in all the work that has to be done to launch an album after the final master is ready.
